Hi Shoe it is so nice to see what y'all look like, I love your greenhouse and all the lovely greenery around you.
Visit From Swoznick
Hey Shoe,
When I get the golden opportunity to meet you next month do I need to bring string along with the kim chee too? If so, I may need to make mine peppermint dental floss instead. LOL
HAH! I just got a large jar of kimchee yesterday...remind me before you come and I'll pick one up that you can take home w/ya. (No strings needed.)
Windsurfer, hopefully soon my gh will be just a bunch of hot air in there...I'm ready to sell out asap. Looking forward to just a small garden this yr to help reduce my obligations around here. Might even get a vacation!
Now isn't this fun? Guys - you're too much. And Hey - people knowing about Beaufort (bow-fort) not (bew-fort)!!! Roadrunner and WVdaisy - you're sounding like homefolk! Remember the accent down there? I'm so tickled that people know about my true home. I grew up on a shrimp trawler as my father was a commercial fisherman. So I'm well versed in the ways of seafood and salt water. Living in this part of the state - my barnacles get thirsty - have to take epsom salts baths for them to get a drink - they really don't like the flavor - but it gets them by!!!! hahaha. Yes I can give Shoe a run for his money on the story telling - but I pick on myself a lot with it. I'm sad to say that I don't think I'll make it to Roundup. With the care and upkeep of places downeast - my time and travel resources will be devoted to going down there 2-3 times a month. Since I have all that land - and we're hoping to move back in 5 years or so - then I'm embarking on learning the lore of greenhouse business so that I can build the big one or ones down there. I actually garden in both places - and they have different characteristics - but it will allow me to establish down there too.
It's made my day for someone to say Pamilco Sound and Morehead city to me!!! Beaufort! Ok - my downeast places are 25 miles East of Beaufort. La lalalala a dd d d aa Happy Dance time!!!!
Shoe I would love to have greenhouse to get an early start on the season. I do understand how you feel, you do have to make time for yourself. Good luck with selling your gh and I do hope that you can have a wonderful vacation this year.
Whoa now windsurfer...not selling the gh, just the contents inside it!! That place is my home away from home! Couldn't live w/out it!
Wish I could come up there and build you one. (what size didja have in mind!?)
As for vacation...hmmmm...Tenn sounds good!
I'm going to hold you to that promise but I can't have a gh here, so until I buy my own home I'll just have to wait.
Oh I am sorry I miss understood you I though that you were selling the whole kit and caboodle lol. I wish I could join eveyone in Tn but just can't do it so you have a wonderful time for me lol.
(GW doing happy dance because Shoe alluded to the possibility of Tenn)
Hey Shoe, does the store where you pick up kimchee sell lumpia wrappers? Since my room at the Suburban Lodge has a kitchen, and the seminar ends late Wed afternoon, I should have time to put the filling together for my egg roll recipe and bring it with me. I think you and your family will enjoy them.
