A new look to the database?

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Dave, I noticed today that when I browse a category in the Plants Database, I now see PHOTOS in the category view. Not sure when that happened, but it's very cool! (It was all I could do to not drool on my keyboard while I was looking through the 'maters this morning, LOL.)

If you haven't checked this out you REALLY should. Go to the Plants Database, and scroll down to the list of categories. (Unless you are on a screaming-fast T-1, DSL or cable connection, do yourself a BIG favor and don't select Perennials :) Go for one of the smaller categories (they're listed in descending order); and click on it. When it loads, take a gander - neat, huh?

Spicewood, TX(Zone 8b)

That IS cool!

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

I noticed it last night I was wondering how long it had been there. It's really cool. Thanks Dave

Wow! Dave, that's wonderful. Pictures mean so much when looking things up on the database, and this is a special treat just to look through! This new and improved database is going to be the best anywhere!

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Very nice change! The layout is much more appealing now.

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Very nice indeed!! I really like it!!

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Nice! I think it will be really helpful when people are searching for something.

Yep, a couple days ago I was looking to identify something, so I modified the search to show me thumbnails in the results page.

I loved the look so much, I just went bananas and added the pics to all the browse areas. I'm glad you like it! :)

Dave, the picture of Solanaceae Brugmansia arborea Engelsglöckchen is not correct. This arborea is single flowering, but I posted this picture of a mutated double flower. There were several double flowers on this plant at one time. I think, I mentioned this rather seldom seen phenomen in my post.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I like the thumbnails a lot - great addition!

That reminds me...I've been taking pictures of all the seedling perennials I bought at deMonye's Friday (both side and top views, with plant marker, of each one). I know I have a hard time finding pictures of the seeds, roots/bulbs and/or seedlings of many plants, and I thought others might like them to reference, too. I'll be posting them in the next few days, I hope.
