No Copyright On This One....

Dave,
Just wondering how the copyright slipped through on this one? http://davesgarden.com/showthread/223708.html#new
One of the members brought it to my attention.

The way the code is currently written, the copyright message requires a certain amount of space in order to be presented.

The copyright needs at least 300 pixels in order to be placed. If the image is less than 300 pixels wide, no copyright is placed.

Your image was 280x280, thus, there was no room for the copyright. If you look closely, you will see that it actually tried to place the copyright (there is a black box on the lower-right corner of the image).

Making copyrights work on smaller images is on my TODO.

Thanks Dave, just had to ask. Another question is this: I took that picture from a web site and in the thread I said that it was from T&M. Is that legal? If not, would you please remove the picture for me? I don't want to get into trouble over this.

Shirley

I don't know... Is there anything in the T&M catalog that specifically prohibits redistributing the images in any form without written permission?

Usually just citing your source is good enough. I do prefer, however, that any images uploaded do belong to the uploader. This is just to make sure that our hands are 100% clean.

I've never read anything, but if you would feel more comfortable about removing it, that would be fine with me.

No Brugie I'm fine keeping it up there. Doesn't bother me at all, since you did give them credit. If they see it and ask that it be removed, however, I will comply. :-)

Thanks Dave....
