brad-cj how are you?
no baby yet?

Midland, PA

Troy,

Thank you for your thoughts but nope, no baby yet. I think he's just being stubborn. If he doesn't make his appearance into this world by Friday, the doctors are going to let me use "natural" induction (castor oil) on Saturday, under their care. Here's hoping he's here by Sunday!!

GingerH is on my call list for the hospital so once I arrive at the hospital in labor, she will know and has promised to post here in the Parking Lot for me.

Thank you for asking!

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

my niece's bd is thursday! ;]
good luck we are waiting for him to get here!!!!!!!!

Midland, PA

Thursday's good - today is good --- well anyday is good. LOL - thanx!

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Pam it seems we went through this waiting game not too long ago with Badseed!! I quite like the idea of the natural inducement!! So Friday, maybe Saturday huh!! One thing's for sure - he/she is a-coming!!!! Have you chosen names yet?

Midland, PA

Yes - Brad named his brother (or so the ultrasound says it's a boy) --Tyler. I do have a backup girl's name just in case and it is Corynne (Ker-In).

I preferred the thought of something natural instead of hooked up to IV's and "strapped" to a bed. My new doctors are all for me to do what is more natural than chemical. Their support is the main reason why I haven't taken any other measures to speed things up. I have a great trust in them.

That little guy will be born Saturday and he will weigh in at 6 lbs. 7 oz.
Any other predictions?

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Tyler will be born on Saturday afternoon at 3.00 and he will weigh in at 7lb 2ozs!! (Chuckle) - don't we just love this guessing game!!! :-)

Spicewood, TX(Zone 8b)

Sunday midnight or thereabouts (babies like coming at the most inopportune time *grin*) ~ 6lbs. 1 oz. (I don't want to wish a real OUCH! for you, Brad_CJ!)

Whenever he comes, I wish you both well!! My closest girlfriend just found out she's pregnant ~ due in November! I'm so excited! Told Kenny I just might be coming down with "baby fever" soon. He just grinned. LOL!

Midland, PA

You guys are great!!!

I'll let you in on the doctors prediction - between 7 and 7 1/2 about 19" long. When - only the little one knows.

Wingnut - Want me to send you the newborn "stuffs" when this one is finished with them????

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, a little skinny wing! Wouldn't that be cute?!

Spicewood, TX(Zone 8b)

Oh, you're so kind, Pam! If you're not going to use any of the things again (*wink, wink*), then I would love them! If my baby fever doesn't get hot enough, my girlfriend sure could use them!!

Ha-ha, Aimee!! A "skinny wing"! LOLOL! When Kenny and I met, we really didn't know if we'd have any children or not. I have none and am fine with that if that's what happens, but kind of wouldn't mind one either. Kenny has grown kids with kids of their own! Weird being called "Mamaw" to Kenny's "Pawpaw" when I've never given birth or raised a child of my own! LOL! I did help with Kenny's as teenagers (Egads!). One of these days we'll make up our minds. Kenny's just like me ~ maybe, maybe not, we'll see. One thing for sure, I'd have to get in shape before. I'm a good bit overweight and my Sis has told me from experience that that makes it really hard.

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Let's see I think Monday 3am weight 7 pounds 2 ounces

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Linda, Kenny, I volunteer to baby sit on short notice, and to travel in the middle of the night to relieve tired people when the baby or babies are sick. My oldest son and his wife elected not to have children after discussing it awhile, so I fully understand ambivalence or opting out. But I think grandmothers and mothers are born, and it isn't necessarily tied in with the birth process. I had a sweet, good natured step grandpa and a sweet, long suffering step-dad, although SD came after I was a mother of four myself. That we didn't share the same blood didn't stop my youngest sister from including our grandpa in her genealogical research. And we always say if we could have chosen our dad, SD would have been our choice. So you are no less Grandmaw, they just got a bonus one.

Spicewood, TX(Zone 8b)

Thank you, Aimee ~ that's so sweet of you to tell me that!! "Rescuing Mom and Dad" like you do (Kudos to you for that!!) is what Kenny and I are going to do next Saturday with the grandbabies ~ Lisa/Mommy needs a break badly. I love it! I get to have fun with them and give them back! LOL! Seriously, I can't wait 'til our house is done so we can keep them overnight and won't have to give them back so soon.

Pam, how are you and Tyler/Corynne (what a pretty name that is!) doing this evening? :-) Is he ready to meet the world yet? I know you're ready for him to, bless your heart!

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Pam hope you come here before going to the hospital. Wanted to say shake a leg (or two) and don't forget to post those pics asap!!

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

8lbs 2oz on the 18th unless she drinks the oil! ;]

Knoxville, TN

still waiting on the little whipper snapper [[[[nana]]]]]

Midland, PA

I'm still waiting too!

My appt is today at 4:30 so if I don't post by late this evening be watching for GingerH's post.

Wingnut - I too was in a similiar situation for 7 years. My ex husband was 17 years old than I and had 5 children (17 to 3) when we married. The only thing I miss from the marriage are the chilldren and grandchildren. It was wonderful to have the little ones running around the house. The teenagers responded very well once they learned that I wasn't out to replace their mother, just their friend and helper when needed.

And yes, this little one is the last one. So I'll be finished with quite a few things. Let me know what your friend needs as I have about 60 onesies in 1st size and just about as many as the sizes get larger.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

wishing you the best. hope it's an easy delivery with NO complications!!

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

LOL...Pam called this morning and told me about this thread (I have not been on the puter that much lately) Tyler will get here in his own sweet time, but it will likely be in the middle of the night...after all "Aunt Ginger" might as well be up too!! Boy howdy, sure wish I had the $$$ for a plane ticket!! I will post as soon as Pam lets me know. Ok now everybody take a deep breath, breathe and think thoughts of labor. hehehe

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Hi Ginger nice to see you!! As for your last sentence - no thank you!!! In my day there was very little else but to grin and bear it and the memories linger on :-)

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Hey Pam no baby yet? What did they Doctor say? (on pins and needles here)

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Ouch Peggy - that could be painful too...lol!!!

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Louisa it sure could. lol Pam better hurry up and get here so it won't be painful for long. lol

Midland, PA

OK - OK I'm here.

In a nut shell I have another appointment for Wednesday morning for the "formal/chemical" induction procedures. The castor oil will start tomorrow and if it is in God's plan he'll be here by Sunday. If not, then I guess we wait until Wednesday.

Joe did ask the doctor for a presciption of valium and the doctors reply was for you or for the mom-to-be??

Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Knoxville, TN

(((Pam)))

Midland, PA

Mystic -- anything counts as long as it can be crossed. Please dear, move off of the pins and needles, you are much to kind of a lady to go through such pain, unless of course you have the valium to make it bearable. LOL

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

LOL.LOL.LOL...BABYBABYBABY!!!!!

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

Dr. said baby won't weigh as much as first guesstimate..told Pam extra "bulk" was fluid meaning Tyler will be an Olympian swimmer...she asked about hot flashes..I said he's training in Florida,so pull up a palm, get a cold drink and relax...she wanted to know about the headace..told her she was under a coconut palm and got popped by a coconut...enjoy the coconut milk..add rum and an umbrella if necessary.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)
