Hostanquilts Tremont, IL(Zone 5b) Apr 06, 2002

while I was in Hesperia, CA visiting my mom, daughter, grandson & brother & his family. She is real sweet & has some of the nicest plants there. A lot I can't grow here in the midwest, but she offered to send me some starts. I'm going to send her a hosta that should be able to grow there. My daughter probably lives about 3 miles from her & she has a few hosta. They were starting to peak their noses up before I headed home Thursday.

What fun Hosta, isn't it fun to finally meet someone you have been conversing with? I wonder how many of us will be lucky enough to have that chance.

I've been fortunate enough to met several people that I've met on the web. So far just MaVie from here, but when I used to be on the garden web, I met about 10 different people who used to post there. 5 of them live within 35 miles of me. We have formed a pretty good friendship. Last fall 4 of us got together for a hosta trip around the Peoria/Princeville area of central Illinois. We had lots of fun & split quite a few hosta that we purchased together.

i am deeply honored of Hostanquilt's visit. i do not know what i was thinking! i didn't even think of taking photo. i was overwhelmed and excited at the time. Hostanquilts is a very nice sweet Lady. i am elated to have met her... so sorry i was excited at the time. i wish u came when the plants were alive rather than sleeping.

Jan... u haven't forgotten. sometime during the coming week, i hope to be able to send u that surprise package.

it was a great pleasure meeting u :D!!! come by again when u come this way.
