Thought you might like to see my parents Hydrangea bush also. The more we trim it each year, the better it does. My dad cuts several off at one time and puts them in a vase for the dining room table, it's looks stunning.

Hey Wintermoor, take a look
Donna do you think your dad would like to give us his tips on growing hydrangeas!! PLEASE!!!!! I don't think I've ever seen a bush so huge and obviously growing in full sun!! Is this 'Annabelle'??? Better still - do you think he would come to VA and garden alongside me??? :-)
Donna,
that must be the most beautiful Hydrangea bush I have ever seen.
Well done to you and your parents for getting that beauty to look like that.
If I grew something as big, I would probably jam up all the streets of Hamburg ;-)
Thank you for showing it, it's a CRACKER!!!
All the best
Wintermoor
P.s. I just printed it out so that SHE-WHO-MUST-BE-OBEYED can see it in the morning.

You won't believe this, but they didn't know anything about growing this and stuck it in the ground over 25 yrs. ago. My dad is not a real gardener, I do most of his gardening for him and prune this monster every winter. Up until last year, I thought Hydrangea's were grown in the sun, as this one always has been. lol
Donna
ps, I have no idea of the name of this plant, Margaret. Sorry.
Wintermoor, I hope she doesn't get jealous!!!!!
Well I hope my "Annabel" will grow that big, it's only 30 months old.
SHE-WHO-MUST-BE-OBEYED loves hydrangeas, but she's never had any luck with them. I've planted 3 others, and their coming along just fine.
I've pruned the Annabel down to stumps now, but it'll be back up in the summer. If you look at my journal, you'll see how it looks now. Poor wee thing!!
All the best
Wintermoor
Wow!!! That is so beautiful.
I love it, I just love it! Hey Donna who's the handsome stranger standing in front?
Kit,
That's my lovely father. He's 82 and still going strong. My mom passed away 4 yrs. ago, and he's been looking for a nice companion lately. Wish I could find one for him, as he is a great guy with a terrific personality. Anyone want to volunteer????
Donna
Whoa! It is so beautifully wow so big and would love to get me some like this one. I never see that much huge. Thank for posted here SoCal.
Oh boy Donna - have you ever opened a can of worms!! Who can we find for your wonderful dad!!
He looks like gardening keeps him young and good looking and tell him I gave a big wolf whistle lol
Great shot of the handsome fella, and that bush looks nice too.
