Yes, i accessed the website OK. Had to agree to enter secure site and it took a while to download, but got there and was able to navigate within it

Yep, got there but it did take forever to load for me, too. The url appeared right away in my browser's url window, so it's probably the other site. It took me to this page: www.ransomgardens.com/ransomgardens.nsf/iotw/$first?Open

Sure thing. Was able to get to the site and took about 60 seconds for me for it to load.

Ok, someone clue me in...Is go_vols working on some things in DG's site? Is go_vols related to Dave or Trish? I'm just curious. I keep seeing posts that lead me to believe go_vols is somehow the webmaster also, but I've never heard anything about this. Maybe it's just something I missed when I was gone?...lol

hczone6, I'm not related to Dave or Trish, nor am I a webmaster (that would be a very bad idea.) However, I do help out with some of the administrative "stuff" - and most of the time I'm just a regular DG member - one who spends wayyyy too much time here, LOL.

Since last fall, we have added a few features - the Garden Watchdog, a directory of mailorder gardening companies; Gardenology, a knowledge base of gardening terms; and most recently, Botanary, a botanical dictionary that is also part of the Plants Database.

Lots of folks have been busy around here - we have almost 400 companies rated in the Watchdog, more than 1900 terms in Gardenology, and 6,000+ genus and species names in Botanary. And the Plants Database has continued to grow by leaps and bounds, especially with lots of new photos (some of them yours :)

And last but not least, we've grown a bit - only 47 more members to hit 10K!

Loaded in a jiffy for me, but it's late & the phone is quiet so I've got the DSL all to myself :) I'm a happy camper...
