Haven't we all in the UK? :(
Where you live
This is my first hyperlink so I hope it works. If you click on postcards after you click on the hyperlink, and then chimney rock, we live about 20 minutes from there. It is very beautiful here. And Baa, we have a world map in the computer room and when you said that your country looked like a witch riding a pig, I couldn't wait to look - LOL.. I had never noticed that before...

I know what ya'll are talking about Germany being so pretty and all the window boxes. I lived there as a military wife for about 7 years and loved it. I have never seen such beauty. And cleanliness! thats one place if I could go back to visit I sure would! I love Texas to as thats where I was born and raised. But the heat and humidity there is pretty bad. I have come to love Wisconsin now to. If anyone comes to my neck of the woods you'll have to stop by!
vic - yes I might take you up on that offer you made a couple of month's ago!! :-) Beautiful N.C. Those postcards were wonderful and a really neat way to show off!! Midwestern!! The cleanliness of Germany also impressed me as did most everything else :-) I nearly settled in Wisconsin when I came to the States 5 year's ago!! My son lives in Chicago but I didn't fancy city life, so he told me to move to your state. But it's a little too north for me. I know it's beautiful though!! From one ex military wife to another - ya'll come!!! :-)
I hope my hyperlinks work. I moved from Omaha to Copenhagen almost seven years ago. Here's a link for a picture tour of our fair city:

I always dreamed about living on an island and now I do....just not as warm as I'd hoped. :-)
My mom and stepdad got married in Copenhagen when we still lived in Germany. I got to go there with them, I was 10 at the time and remember a few things quite well. Still have some pictures. It was very nice :)
Vic I love the postcards!
MWSB Seerms you've lived quite a few places! Will you be staying put in Wisconsin for a while yet?
