My Embarrassing Movement

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Jianhua , Glad you are enjoying this! We are enjoying rembering and sharing these special moments too. Life is always more fun for those who can laugh first AT themselves and WITH their friends.

Shangshui, Henan, China(Zone 7b)

Zanymuse,good saying.
To tell you the truth,i showed little interests in the bras.since Lady Liberty,Venus and Changer(Chinese ancient fairy) do not wear that gadget, you ladies should confine the excess in the boxes or just throw them into the Pacific.
But,two things changed my prejudice.
Two bandits, knife in hand, robbed the bus passengers of their money.they searched each pocket of everyone's,only a lady escaped from the disaster.she had hidden the big notes in the bras.(you may wonder how i knew about it.well, the lady is my wife's friend.she told her.and then i was told.)
These days our local TV station keeps on adding an
advertisement.the lady is saying:after using the heartcare card(a card inside it contains several medicinal herbs),my high blood pressure is down;my headach stopped, the tumor mass in the breasts disappeared...i sleep like a log,and i eat like a wolf.thanks to the heartcare card.with these words, she puts the card into the bra...(effective or not, that is a question)

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Oh, oh...My sides hurt from laughing! This is all too funny. I must not embarrass that easily, because I can't think of anything funny enough for this thread!

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Oh, I just remembered another one! Back in 1980, I was living in Seward in a rental house in the main part of town. I was recently divorced and rather poor, so I was thrilled to find an old tank vacuum cleaner at a garage sale for $10. With four kids and three dogs, the vacuum hose plugged up quite often, but I was unable to hook the hose up to the exhaust, so I used to walk out the front door and blow into the end of the hose to expel the plugs of "God knows what".

One day, after such an episode, there was a knock on the door. My visitors were a couple young missionaries from the Church of Latter Day Saints. They were such earnest young men that I invited them in and we discussed Alaska, families and religion for about an hour. They watched me as I spoke, as if rapt by my every word.. it was flattering.

After we said our goodbyes and they headed down the sidewalk, I went back inside to use the bathroom. As I washed my hands, I looked into the bathroom mirror, and around my lips was a perfect circle of black dirt from the vacuum cleaner hose! How in the world did those young men keep a straight face!

Jesteburg-Wiedenhof, Germany(Zone 8a)

GREAT STORY!!!!

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Thinking back on it, I probably looked like Al Jolson (old black minstrel impersonator)only in reverse... white face, black lips!

Jesteburg-Wiedenhof, Germany(Zone 8a)

Yes I thought along those lines, and I'm still laughing.... again a GREAT STORY :-D

All the best

Shangshui, Henan, China(Zone 7b)

Gw,try to cultivate further,and you'll find more.
Wg,the black dirt--i hope it would label on your face forever -- and turn into a beauty mole.
Wm,yeah,'laugh is the best medicine',
'having a good laugh makes you ten years younger'(chinese saying).so let's laugh our tears/ass/sadness out every day.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

I think the most embarrassing thing of late happened a few months ago.
I was in a hurry to get to work so i grabbed my apron (im a waitress) out of the dryer and out the door i went.
I put it on as i was walking through the parking lot. Easy enough.
Upon opening, our first table was a group of 6 construction workers. They came in a bit more boisterous than normal. One of them had a really SEXY pair of t-back panties spinning around his finger. He casually asked "did any of you ladies lose these this morning". EVERYONE, including the staff turned to look at me. Of couse, i had to claim them, they were my new VS. I made an awesome tip of the table, lol and from that day on ive learned to use dryer sheets and make sure nothing is attached.
jen

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

ROFLOL! MSJen! You probably became the most popular waitress in the truckdriver route! CB's were probably screeching along the highways telling about the waitress that lost her undies in the parkin lot!

Shangshui, Henan, China(Zone 7b)

Jen,not bad your story is,though i do not
catch hold of the VS.they are...? ):
I've gotten a new one--cannot help waiting
to tell you now.
Last sunday,i went to the pearlite mill to
buy some pearlite.the white, light and tiny
particles are used to take the place of soil
to cultivate flowers.
'With the the pearlite,'i counted, riding on
my tricycle,'i can hold 50 planters of flowers
and place them on my flat house top'.thinking and
thinking,oh,my! the tricycle whirled the fore-wheel
and ran down into the ditch along the roadside.well
then, the tricycle was on me!patting my butts,i
stood up.luckily, the ditch is dried and not deep
and i was safe and sound...some villagers helped me
out of trouble at last.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

LAUGH good for HEALTH! =)

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

VS is Victorias Secret.

Shangshui, Henan, China(Zone 7b)

Thanks,Jen.
My vocabulary bank will become increasingly larger.
Redrose, well said!--- laugh good for health.
that is the main purpose of this thread.lolol

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Wheezy - you kill me!!!! Jianhua hope you didn't hurt yourself and that your precious cargo was safe too!! And talking about panties - has anyone ever been to the bathroom and thought everything was as it should be only to find their skirt still stuck in their pants and hose at the back, exposing for all too see!! Yep, I've done it!!

Perrysburg, OH(Zone 5a)

Okay, I have two for you all. the first was involes my senior class skip day, every year the high school seniors skips a day to go to Cedar Point amusement park it's about an hour from here. the year we went was the first year for the "Magnum" rollercoaster it has some outrageuos drop on the first hill like 300 feet, I wore a v-neck t-shirt that day.... down the hill we went arms fully extended over the head screaming my lungs out and guess what popped out!!!! Yes, my breast--just one but the real kicker is that the park installed a camera on the hill so when the car goes down it automatically snaps pictures that you can purchase at the end of the ride, they display the snap-shots on a huge screen in the gift shop under the ride. So guess, what was smiling at me and everyone else on that big screen!!!! Very embarassing!!! no I did not buy the picture!!!
The other story is not that embarassing just cute, Every year in our town young Mormans come to do their I think its year of disciplship and visit the area door to door, they came to our house and introduced themselves as "Elder this" and "Elder that" my Dh and I listened to them and talked with them for a while and after they left my dh says to me thats odd... I said what, he says I've just never met to guys both named "Elder"!!! I think I did pee pants laughing at him, It took about an hour to get under control enough to explain it to him...
Becky

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

ROFL - I think I liked the second one better!!!!!

Shangshui, Henan, China(Zone 7b)

Louisa, all are alright.thanks for your concern.
Before the incident,i had a sense that something would be wrong with me --my right upper eyelid kept hopping and bumping for several minutes.
Well,it did happen.the tricycle carried me down into the ditch.
After the incident,i thought to myself,'thank goodness, all is good that the end result is good.if some part of my body was broken, how could i come to meet you all?'

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear that Jianhua!! I'm sure nothing could keep you down for very long :-)

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

How about coming on line and seeing a post with your name as the poster and not recognizing it you opwn it up and see your picture has been posted by the soon to be deceased DH!
And he picke a photo that shows me with my hair undone, no makeup and a silly grin on my face, oh never mind the grin cause I do that all the time, but I thought I had tossed that pic in the trash and he must have dug it out.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Zany, we all loved it! You could have a hubby who wasn't aware of your charm, so just think of it as what it is, a guy showing off his girl. Not a bit embarrassing in that light. Oh, maybe for the shy one, it is.

Shangshui, Henan, China(Zone 7b)

Zany,Aimee hits it.'not a bit embarrassing in that light'.at the beginning,Eve in the Eden might not do up hair, yet she lived happily with her husband Adam.and i think you would not accuse your DH only because of his infringing upon your portrait right? ):

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Jianhua! I will not be mad :~) I will just give him a little time to think I am...Actually I have to admit it was funny! He rarely even tries to put one over on me and he got me good!

Shangshui, Henan, China(Zone 7b)

Louisa, yes, nothing could keep me down for very long!
Even if i got treed by a lion, i would enjoy the scenery.
BJT72,'peel pants'--good embarrassing sample.
My son, during the first week of his school career some years ago,he often peeded pants in the course of classes.
one day he hurried to the teachers' office(at that time i was teaching in the school),without even saying 'may i come in?',calling 'help,Papa, help!"not realized what was the matter,he had loosed down his pants.wow,in order to avoid wetting pants in class he had gotten a rubber band wrapped around you know what.what an invent he makes! of course the band was taken off carefully as fast as i could.even now, when i mention of it we will have a good laugh .at that time i thought another silly Jr.Jianhua would stand in the crowd.but i was wrong.my son whenever taking bus to school he will offer his seat to an elder,i know there is some 'good'in his heart.and whenever the PC is sick,he will treat it well,i know, there is some 'talent' in his mind.hope son is superior to father. ):
Thanks for sharing !!

Gee, Jianhua...I think we have something in common, our sons....Ours.....had a problem with wetting the bed...till the age of 8...well....he belonged to the Cub Scouts...and they would have sleep outs (tents etc)...and he was afraid to spend the night anywhere...He had an idea....he came to me and told me..."Mom...how about we use a balloon....and a rubber band on it"?...and I will not wet my sleeping things....Well needless to say....he would just stay awake all night...to avoid the embarrassment! Thank gosh, he out grew it.....

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

ok talking about embarassing pee moments, i was in 2nd grade in catholic school. i was a timid little thing and petrified of the nuns. we were having a spelling test and the nun said for no reason would she redo a word, or interrupt the test. well i had to go really bad and i was waving my hand like crazy and she wouldn't answer me, assuming i wanted for her to repeat the words. well now i have to pee and i'm missing the exam, well you got it, she never called on me and i peed my pants and skirt right there in my chair. after she asked me why i just didn't get up and go to the bathroom. hello? a kid never does anything on there own without asking, at least we didn't back 38 years ago.

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Things sure have changed in the school system, and some of it is for the best. We had a boy in my class back in 5th grade who still had problems with his bladder. Our teacher decided to break him of it by making him wear a diaper over his pants if he wet himself. Thank God those days are over!

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Even all those years ago any teacher that would do that to a child should have been dismissed! And if the school wouldn't take action the parents should have! Imagine the agony that surpassed mere embarrassment that poor boy suffered!

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

The same teacher required each child wear a warm hat when we went out for recess. One boy came from a family of 8 children, and they were quite poor. He explained that he had no hat, but she insisted he bring one. When he showed up the next day without one, she made him wear a head scarf to embarrass him so he would not "forget" again. Yes, she was a real piece of work, that old gal.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh, man, think of the bad Karma she built! Isn't it amazing how a mean teacher can affect a young child? And how a good one can influence them in the opposite direction? I credit some teacher with almost everything I like about me, but I still feel the scars from the mean or cruel ones. And when we are in the presence of a young child, we are all teachers.

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

How true that is, Aimee. This old teacher had been at the same school for at least 25 years, and I'm sure she considered herself a good teacher, and perhaps she was adept at presenting the regular ciriculum, but she sure missed the boat on her people skills!

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

aimee, i like that statement "when we are in the presence of a young child, we are all teachers" if only people could keep that at the forefront of there minds.

Shangshui, Henan, China(Zone 7b)

WantabeGardener, you are right.when east and west meet together,we will have a lot to share in common.you see,it is not easy for a child to be a good scout(here we call it young pioneer).
Debi and Aimee, yes, parents are the first teachers of their children.mentoring a child is not only the teachers' duty, but also their parents'.
Weezingreens, the Lady has been 'gnawed chalk'for more than 25 years.the candle spirits are respected! as i know, in my region,a teacher who has some ways out ,he or she will abandon teaching and take office in a higher salary company.
a teacher's work is laborious.hope the whole society gives
more support and understanding.
Well,so nice to chat with us gardeners about gardening as well as other daily issues.being 'culture shock',i am afraid that sometimes the comments what i posted here have some unfitness.do hope dear friends to criticize and correct. Thanks! ):

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Jainhua, you are correct that teachers should recieve much respect, but sadly, some of the teachers here do not live up to the noble profession they have taken in life. Let me tell you about Mrs. McCall, who was the teacher in our small community who DID deserve admiration. She taught children here for 50 years in school. She gave us, her pupils a desire to learn, compassion when we were hurt, help when we needed assistance and when a child needed to be disciplined she did so firmly with determination but the punishment was always tempered with love. When she retired from the school she was honored at a banquet which was attended by her former students. Many traveled back here from around the world to have a chance to show this dear woman how much she was appreciated. She was a grand example of teachers! Sadly, there are too many others here who do not shine so brightly.

Shangshui, Henan, China(Zone 7b)

Zanymuse,your comment is appreciated.
'teachers are diligent gardeners'
'teachers are the engineers of the human souls'
'teaching is the most glorious occupation under the sun'
Pitifully, not all the teachers are worthy of the noble titles.some even are not responsible for themselves, let alone for their families or their school kids.
**A few years ago i got a loan from the local bank and with the money i went to the 'kingdom of plants'(Yunnan Province in south China) and purchased a whole big truck of shade indoor plants.luckily enough, several new tall buildings had just been set up in my town.the residents who got the flats showed great interests in my greens.so in a short time all were sold out with a good bargain....later a 6-room flat house rose from my yard.i caculated that without eating or drinking it would take me at least three years to get the house if i counted on my teaching salary.cannot keep my heart in balance. ):
Notes:the shade plants are Araucaria cunninghamii,Chamaedorea elegans,Chrysalidocar pus lutescens,Philodendron domesticum,Dracaena sanderiana,Philodendron selloum,Dracaenafragrans,Cycas revoluta...

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

A wise investment of your time and money Jianhua! I imagine that the buyers were well pleased with their treasures also!

Shangshui, Henan, China(Zone 7b)

yeah, did dig out a little 'jackpot'.
it was timing that helped me.):
due to busy teaching,no energy to think of the business except in winter and summer recesses.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Such a good thread - bumping it. Has anyone heard from Jianhua since June?

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

I'm glad you did that Kimberley. I have just posted about him on the prayer forum. I only pray that he and his family are safe. The typhoons have been devastating this year!!

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Have been wondedring about him too. It's not like him not to post for so long. I just hope that he has taken his family away on an extended holiday...
just for fun let's think of places he could have gone.
He could have gone to: GUANGXI

Guangxi is an ideal place for vacationers because of its charming waters and mountains, subtropical seaside scenery in Beibu Bay, ancient ethnic customs and the unique Sino-Vietnamese border areas.Guangxi is lovely throughout the year, with each season offering its own distinctive ambience
