Hi Wintermoor
We all just love to garden and chat here on DG's, better get you a comfy chair as you will spend a lot of time here at DG.
Look forward to your post.
Mike
Hi Everybody
TY Mike,
I've just come in from a football game(soccer to the north Americans), and my team drew 1-1. Sheeeeeeeeit we should have won, but (what do the americans say?) what the heck.
Hey, the first night I was on here, I was on until 04:00 my time, the second night until 04:30.
I had better get my act together quick or SHE-WHO-MUST-BE-OBEYED will kick my good ol' Scottish bahooky, and that can be painful.
Ever been kicked in the bahooky??? OUCH!!!!!
All the best
Wintermoor
Welcome Wintermoor! As you have probably noticed, this is indeed the best site around. It is a community the likes of which I have never seen. I log on at work, and get so engrossed that I dont get much work done, then I log on at home, and again dont get much done around the house.
I hope you will try to make it to the chats, they are on tuesday evenings.
What a great bunch of people we have here, youwould be amazed!
Happy gardening!
Wintermoor: I don't know what a bahooky is, but at age 55, I'm sure I've been kicked there before! You've certainly got me curious about SHE-WHO-MUST-BE-OBEYED, OR SWMBO, if you'll allow the abreviation. She certainly sounds like a power to be reckoned with, and thus a fascinating person. How much better "obeyed", than SHE-WHO-MUST-BE-HUMORED, or SHE-WHO-MUST-BE-CONSOLED...sounds like SWMBO has spunk!
Hi Pebble, Hi Weezin,
I'll try to make the chat on Tuesday, but for you, evenings are my nights or early mornings, and as Weezin said SWMBO is an incredibly strong-willed person, but we've been married now for 12 years, and to tell you the truth, the name SHE-WHO-MUST-BE-OBEYED came from my Step-Dad one evening after a wee tiff with my Mum.
I laughed so much when he said it that aggression in the air totally disintegrated, so I tried it out on my little boy, after a 'misunderstanding' with SWMBO, and he collapsed laughing. End of story.
Weezin, I never forget that to love SWMBO doesn't only mean obediance (to family rules), but also contains humouring, consoling, endearing, pleasuring (grunt-grunt;-)), loving, and whatever else is required in a happy family, but in our case, thank whatever God, it comes from both sides.
I may not be successful everyday since weeds grow in my garden too sometimes, but they are so easily pulled out, and the real flowers which I, or she, want to have grow big and strong.
Do I get my degree now in human/botanic philosophy? ;-D
Great place this !!
All the best

That was also a great answer Wintermoor. Welcome from the old boot,Louisiana. Don`t know if what I have will grow where you live but you are welcome to try them.
Hi busybee,
thank you for the welcome.... plants, flowers or whatever you want will grow if you want it to grow. I was just about to ask on the board if anyone talks to their flowers. I think it helps.
Hope to talk to you soon again, you sound like you've got a lot of flowers to pollinate busybee ;-)
All the best
Wintermoor
Wintermoor: Yes, indeedie, you pass in flying colors. My DH and I have been married for 10 years, so we are at about the same stage as you.. finishing each other's sentences and poking a bit of fun at each other without fear of mis-understanding.
There is one question I have concerning your husbandry... I hope you manage more than the two grunts you have posted. I am assuming your need for brevity only applies in posting!
Weez! Let's hope he doesn't share that with us too graphically!
Yes, Aimee, you're right!
Wintermoor, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and leaving the rest to SWMBO!
My dear gracious Mrs. Weezingreens, and my dear gracious Mrs. Aimee,
the 'style' (as you North-Americans now say) which we Scottish Highland gentlemen use to assimilate carnal contact, is not so common as as to explain in detail many of the delights of such, but we prefer to expend our vocabulary in idiotisms, yes even dropping to onomatopoeia.
Well grunt grunt grunt then, is that a wee bit better? ;-)
All the best
Wintermoor
Oh, I am far too shy to allow onomatopoeia as concerns that intimacy. The conversation could turn quite colorful if we shared so much. But I join my friend in giving you the benefit of the doubt. And at my age, not to mention my marital status of Ms., it's an endorsement you may trust.
Ms Aimee, Mrs Weezingreen,
I humbly accept your benefit.
Any other dicourse on this matter can be held in social intercourse with the Honourable Lady of the House, more commonly known as SWMBO.
All the best
Your most humble (grunt)
Wintermoor
Winter, you're unstoppable. I must meet the lady who has you in abeyance as well as obedience.
Ms. Aimee,
a correspondence is winging its way to your homestead at this very moment.
All the best
Wintermoor
Wintermoor: I bow to your eliquent reply and to Aimee's, as well. Safe to say, things are humming in Hamburg.
Well it's moving from a hum to a buzzzzzzz ;-)
All the best
Wintermoor
Such politeness and gentility!!! I could have sworn I was reading a Bronte novel!!! Bless my soul Mr Wintermoor you do cut a dashing figure. You don't smoke a pipe by any chance do you??? :-)
Miss Louisa,
I ceased to draw on the briar at the age of 20 years after a fracas´ in a hostelry in the fair City of Glasgow, after having smoked away three fills of what was known under the proletariat as 'wacky-backy'.
Henceforth I declined every offer to have a suck at the old cherry-wood since it really wasn't my idea of a large afternoon.
Yours
Wintermoor
ROFL......Good for you!!!
LOLOLOLOLOLOL!! You DO have a way with words, Wintermoor!
Darn this fickle puter!

Honestly, I think we have a professional writer here. Such novel expressions! Such smooth charm! Wintermoor, you are something else. Mothers, lock up your daughters, he has a wee son.
