Your first Jalopy!

I was so proud of my first car!!! It was an old l954 Pontiac, light green. I bought it from my girlfriends dad for $35.00. I was l6 and soooo proud of myself because I earned the money myself working at the "5 and 10". It was built like a tank and kept running for years. LOL. They really don't make them like they used too!

Mine was a 1976 Plymouth Fury. It's the stupid cop car they wrecked on the Dukes of Hazard all the time. It was a little embarassing to drive around as a teenager, but it had wheels! :) I didn't have it long before I switched to something else. My dad was a mechanic and he always had car deals going on. During high school I drove the Plymouth, a Prosche 914 (1976), Mercedes 280S (1969), a small dodge pickup (80 something), Mustang Cobra II (1976), Chevy Impala (1977) and I think an Audi 4000. May have been a few others in there somewhere, but I can't remember...lol

my first car was a '71 chevy vega. boy did i have to learn about that carborator and paperclips just to keep it running. and never tap the nose of that car or you will total it. lol. i rolled into the back of a car one day 10mph and had to use a chain to pull the nose out so the fan would not cut up the radiator. oh i will never forget that car. lol. my friend had a pinto. what a sight to see 2 teens drag racing with those cars lol. i had the advantage my idle was turned way up just to keep it running. glad gas prices were not like today. under $5. to fill. but that was when cigerettes were .50 a pack. i do miss those days. :)

I just described my first car at the parking lot. It really was just like that!

'57 Ford 3 speed stick. Wheelwells painted white with blue lites in them. Dashboard painted white with pin stripes painted on it. It was really fast.

Oh mine was a beauty, a lite blue 65 mustang!!!!! How I wish I still had it!!!! I have had 2 mustangs since then. Now I have an explorer but as soon as the twins get a little bigger it will be right back to the MUSTANG!!!!!!

:) I remember mine. Cute little four door escort. An 86, I do believe.
Cute car, too bad it only lasted 2 weeks before catching on fire on my way home from work. The car's body was saved by local firemen and the firewall, but the engine was gone - toast.

Didn't help me get any guys though. They all thought it was a boyfriend's car. :-(

Mine.....my first true love, was a 1956 two toned Chevy, white and turqoise blue! Wish I still had it...they're collector's car classics now!!
