Pic of the day in the newsletter - new?

Spicewood, TX(Zone 8b)

Is the pic of the day at the top of the newsletter new? If so, I LIKE it! If not, I hadn't noticed it before and I still LIKE it! Neat idea, Dave!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

That is COOL, Dave! I just noticed it when I read Kit's post. Neat!

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

First time I've seen it. Love it! Thanks Dave for thinking of another way to make our day.

Another Great Feature!!

Nice addition Dave'

Hempstead, TX(Zone 8b)

it only made the newsletter better :)

Yep, brand new feature as of today's newsletter. I thought it was fun.

I'm not giving away my secret on how the pic of the day is selected, either. :-)

Yee-hawww!! As soon as I saw it I hollered! Love it!!
(Now I'm scratching head to the point of balness trying to figger out dave's mode of selection!)
Good feature!!!! Thanks!

Maben, MS(Zone 7b)

What a nice surprise this morning.

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

I loved it now I get to look forward to a new picture everyday. Thanks Dave!

Spicewood, TX(Zone 8b)

Tee-hee, 'Shoe! Why? Ya' wanna' get your picture selected or do you wanna' keep your picture from being selected? LOL! It doesn't matter to me much how he picks 'em. I LOVE pictures. I look at most every one on the photo forum and am currently back about ten pages in the forum looking at all the others that have been posted. It's fun to see what everyone else grows, JoanMN's beautiful pictures, Starzz's gazebo, Weezingreens' greenhouse and plants, Redrose's mini roses, etc., etc. LOVE it!

Thanks, yet again, Dave!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Spiced up the letter a lot. Thanks Dave for making things so great around here.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

What a great photo to kick off a great new feature! Whatever your method for choosing, it must be a good one. I can hardly wait to see what you will select next.

Thanks Dave!!!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Now this is fun....If I were Dave, how would I choose the photo of the day? Hmmmmmm...Here's my guess...A formula which divides the numeric date by pi, then adds the current number of subscribers, then divides that number by the number of posts in the brug forum over the last month. The photo with that sequential number is the photo fo the day.

Who else wants to guess? :D

Newcastle, ON(Zone 5a)

Great idea Dave..and I'll bet people will be checking to see if one of their photos is featured.
Boy you have us curious now about how you choose the photo of the day!

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

Wingnut...you wingnut!!!
Naww...I ain't a'scared of my pic getting posted (I really haven't been posting many lately anyway). But when dave throws out something like that it makes my country-cogwheels start churning in my head. Maybe GW is right w/her formula...I'll hafta walk thru that one!

Middle, TN(Zone 6b)

Thanks Dave. It is a great new feature. I am delighted with it no matter how you choose the picture of the day. I think it is an inspiration to the rest of us to do more picture taking and also is a way of introducing people to all sorts of new plants and interests.

I hope you will give the rest of the folks a nice treat and post the ones of you on the tractor, in the superman suit, and with the famous red hair. The newer members might have missed those and I think they are classics.

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

If everyone would agree to not post for one day, I'll re-post Macho Carrot...bet there'd be no picture of the day! Poor Macho Carrot, I won't let him die a quiet death!

Seriously, Dave, you've been adding some nice features to the Garden... making life easier for all us little flowers. This is just one more way to allow us to share some beauty.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Weez, do you want to fill the ERs with people suffering from withdrawal? Not post for a day, a whole day? Come on!

(Zone 8a)

Dave...What an honor!!! My pic made the first newsletter...do I win a prize?

Keep up the good work!
Rebecca

Middle, TN(Zone 6b)

Rebecca, that was the prize. You were the first!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

actually, Eclipse was the first, but both great pictures!!! And I love that you aren't picking only from the photo forum Dave, good idea!!

(Zone 5a)

It does add a beautiful touch to the news letter, thanks.
