chat -room

Is there anyone who could help me figure out how to get into the chat-room??? I could get in through MSN chat, But, The room's not on there .... I don't have a computer, Only a webtv and there doesn't seem to be any hope of ever getting in there!! Anyone have any suggetions?????

Does your browser not support Java? Have you ever seen anything related to "Java" on your webTV set?

Java is all that's required in order to access chat. I wish it was more open and didn't require java, but that's not an option for me right now. :(

Dave, It doesn't support Java, :( ... But, If you could put an Icon on MSN , I could get in .. ( I hope I worded that right )

Doesn't sound like WebTV cares much about being a real ISP for its customers. That's sad!

I've never used WebTV, so I'm kind of in the dark. I've read a little about it (See http://www.webtv.com/pcvstv.html ), but I can't see what the lure is to people. Those of you using it -- why do you like WebTV? What do you wish was different? I'm really curious!

To start off with, Webtv was a lot cheaper to buy then a computer ~ It doesn't have a lot of the options that computers have, like real audio and computer games, But, I don't care about the games or audio for that matter ~ I can scan pictures, I can print things, I can make crafts from the web with my printer, I have Instant messanger, I have voice-mail, I can make web-pages ~ I can get sounds , I can access ton's of information and so on ... I have had many people with computers tell me how hard it is for them to figure things out or to make a web-page ...With webtv, Everything is simple and easy ... Doesn't take much to figure anything out, And I can make a webpage with images in 10 minutes! Also, I don't have to sit in front of a monitor to use it, I can use the keyboard from across the room while laying on the couch or bed, It only takes a minute to get on-line and I never have to wait. I have ton's of chatrooms/site's that I can get into with no problem ~ Except for DG ( because I have no java support ) But, I guess I can live with that. I wont be gong into buisness for myself and I'm not into computer games as I am always working in the house or out in the garden, So for what I get with the webtv seems to suit me just fine as I'm not really on here all that
much and when I am, It's pretty much in my favor for what use I want from it ~ The only thing I wish it had was 'java' so I could get into Dave's chatroom! LOL!!

Iris, I been there done that, and I do feel for you! Have you ever visited Flowox's Porch? You may be able to chat with some DG'ers there......and you certainly can with some of them on MSN IM.
