Slower than ever!!

(Zone 8a)

What is going on??? I am having to wait 3-5 mins for pages to load today, I'm outta here!

Later!

Zone 6, OH(Zone 6a)

Mine has been loading very slow for several days...which is kinda hard to figure, since most of the site is just text. I've experienced this at work and at home...both have high speed internet connections. No trouble with other sites. Just FYI.

Cape May Court House, NJ(Zone 7a)

Mine is just fine!!!!!! Moving right along!!!!

Cape May Court House, NJ(Zone 7a)

Cheers & Happy Surfing!

Well couldn't log out several times as I gave up trying to get pages up,then when they did, got the message"cannot find server" Think it may be our "hometown phone company" messn' 'round, probably'
Just now finally, after many tries, did manage to get a nursery added to the Watchdog' My other sites are fine but here today has been a nightmare' I also click a forum, takes forever to load, then again, blank page, hmmmm??? Maybe tomorrow will be better,no biggie, thanks for letting me vent, lol'Sis'
Just now tried to send this, again,"no page, server cannot be found, grrrrr'"

For some reason tonite is moving along okay! Go figure!

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

it's been really slow for me for days now, weeks actually. It used to move along really fast until Dave said he made an update and it would run faster, then mine started to be slower. It takes forever to load pages when before it would be a couple of seconds. I usually don't stay and wait at other sites that take long to load and this is very discouraging when you're trying to see what's going on in the forums :(

Called the phone co.this morning and everyone around here is having the same dificulties, satellite probs' If I disappear again now ya know, lol'

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

Who's 'rooting around' in DG at the moment then. Slowest it's been for me for AGES - and that's how long the pages are taking to load! Always the way when you need to be quick, lol!

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

It's been the slowest for me today than it ever has been. In fact I usually wait approx. 5 sec for a page to come up, today I waited 30-50 sec. That's really slow for me, as I have a cable provider.
Also, I am getting "cannot find server" when I respond to a post.

It's really scary around here.

iam slow too, more than ususal

Maben, MS(Zone 7b)

same here.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

the days when it's really slow are the days the the search engines are here, cataloging every page. If it starts with me, I just go plant something :)

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

What a good philosophy tiG! As it was late here i just went to bed, not nearly so productive, lol.

It really slowed down when Dave said it would be a lot faster.. what is the problem Dave? Mine was fast but not now.

Within minutes it can be really fast and then slow right down again. This morning not too bad!! But who knows as I leave this forum and try another one!!

It should be about 400% faster, starting just a few moments ago.

Dave

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

Yes, really whizzing along thanks Dave!
:)

Whatever has happened to us when patience is no longer a virtue!! Has the age of technology speeded up my brain - not a bit but I hope it doesn't slow down any more :-) So having done my bit of 'complaining' here it is only fitting that I salute you Dave for giving us a site faster than the speed of sound - it's really moving now!! :-)

Yes, it really is moving. This morning I did some major optimizations to the database of the forums.

For the past 3 hours, pages are taking an average of 1.3 seconds to serve. That's about 600% faster than yesterday. Let's hope it stays fast. :)

And we long for the old days :-)

Great Dave...zipping right along, I noticed it right the bat!

Thanks a bunch!

Dave, how on earth can you hold a new job and still do this so quickly? I should take lessons on efficiency. Or do you never sleep?

Aimee, thankfully a lot of this stuff is applicable to my "real" job, so I frequently work on both simultaneously.

Dave

Zone 6, OH(Zone 6a)

I have definitly noticed an increase in speed...much much better :D
