Printing recipes from the DG recipe forum

to get a print option on the recipe forum. Like on allrecipes.com, if you see a recipe you like, you go to print then you have the choice of full page or recipe card size (which I've never used) and then it converts the recipe to a one page printer friendly version.
Just wondering as I cut and paste to Word another recipe that looks amazing. I hate to print the whole thread and waste paper and ink.

Gwydion, you can highlight (with your mouse) just the recipe and insructions, then when you click on the print command, pick the option to print the selection (highlighted area) only. It's not as neat as the print options of Allrecipes, but it is a quick fix :)

Hmm I can't find that option in my print window. Is it only certian printers? Mine is an Epson C60

Doesn't work for me either. When I highlighted a part and hit print, my printer just starts printing right away, and still printed the whole thread. I have an hp printer, and use microsoft internet explorer.

Did you go to file and click print, or just the printer icon in your toolbar?

Try highlighting the text you want to print.
Right click and hit print.
This should bring up a printer window and for most printers you should be able to choose "Selection" (Rather than choosing to Print All or Print page 1-3 for example.)

Ah, yes! The "choose selection" was the key words. Thanks!

That's a great bit of info to know! Thanks for bringing it up.
