Thanks to many of you working on Gardenology all of the terms now have a definition (at least I think so; my eyes got kind of crossed as I was skimming to make sure!)

If you haven't tried Gardenology, you should. Just for grins, check out the soil tests (type "soil test" in the search box) you can do yourself, or all the different "tea" recipes (a search for "tea" will give you recipes for compost, oak leaf, weed, manure...) and several homemade insecticides and baits you might want to try on the pests you encounter this summer.

And if you find a term that you wish to add your own definition to, be our guest! That's probably the most unique aspect of this feature - there isn't "one right answer" for an entry; it's the collective experience and insight from the gardeners here at DG.

Cool Beans!!! All the terms have definitions now!? Wow, that was fast! Don't forget folks...not only can you add a definition of a term but also if there is not a term listed you can always add one of those also.

AND you can add a second definition if you feel you can get the meaning across a little better or just want to put it in "plain English" as 'Shoe did with "radicle":

Definition of radicle

Definition as written by talinum:
A seeds embryonic root.

Definition as written by Horseshoe:
In layman's terms "the little white thingy that comes from a seed thereby declaring it has germinated". (This is, as mentioned above, usually considered the root.)

I got there purely by chance, 'Shoe! I saw that term while adding definitions, proceeded to the page intending to add "Beach-bum-ese for cool" and there you were! You beat me to it!! NOW who's the dawg?! LOL!
