Zone 9 Gardeners?

I remember awhile back, Dave asked for the number of zone 9 gardeners? Is there alot? I know when I look in gardening magazines to order plants etc. when it says full sun I say (yeah right) down here in Arizona. Things are so different.
Any good books that will help us down here? Thanks Kim
