Dave help if you can please

a funny thing has been happening for quite a few weeks. Everytime Wantabegardener makes a post..I get an e-mail..it has been interesting to get a surprise notifcation..never
know where I'm going to end up..but I do know that she has just posted because her post is right there..every time.
Also I have not got any "watched threads" appearing on my home page..even after logging out and coming back in..and I have marked lots to watch. I do still get e-mails to notify me though. I have gone to my preferences and submitted that I get both an e-mail and a list of watched threads.
Can you help me, please?

Starzz, I kinda doubt it - if Dave doesn't reply he generally hasn't seen it yet. And given that it's after 10 his time on Saturday night, the odds are really against him having seen it. Is it a full moon or something? You can always blame it on that, LOL.

ya..go_vols..and tomorrow is Sunday and I know HE rests..

It's not a big worry though..I just thought I would ask..I do get all the e-mails to tell me when there is a new post.
Wantabe just posted and said she isn't getting anything strange happening to her..so its' ok..

I think I have one thing figured out now..the list of watched threads only apppear when they have a new post that I have not gone to from my e-mail notification..is that right?

Yes, Carol. That's right. The system knows that it needs to notify you somehow. So, if it notifies you by your homepage and you click the thread, then it knows you've seen the latest post(s) and it won't E-mail you.

At least, I am pretty sure that's how it works. The precise action it takes is dependant on how your preferences are set.

Starzz, I too have alot of threads checked that i am watching adn do not get notification that they have been updated. HUMM
