How do we know when are subscription is up? Can I change my user name?

You can always check on the status of your subscription by clicking 'Subscription' in the menu box, under the preferences link.

People can change their usernames. I allow one username change per lifetime, so if you want to change your username, pick one that you like and e-mail me. I'll make the change - but it'll be permanent!

i couldn't think of a name when i joined and didn't think about how long mine was or how strange it is to get emails reading

If a user changes his/her name, could a little icon show up next to the name for the next month or so? That might help in avoiding confusion. Or maybe something could show up on the user's DG homepage, sort of like eBay shows the sunglasses to indicate the user has changed information?

It threw me for a loop a while back when I started seeing posts from The_Wonder_Down_Under yet it was someone named Laura. I thought, "Holy cow, can we really cope with *two* crazy Australians named Laura?!" LOL!

Mummy, you have a lovely name, why not use it? And since you are so musical, it might help to remember there is a song by that name.
