Gardener's Journal - need volunteers to beta test!!

Okay, the Gardener's Journal (hereafter known as the GJ) has past my Alpha test, and I'm moving it into an open beta test.

This means that I'm soliciting volunteers to beta test the GJ to find bugs, request new features, and suggest improvements.

If you are interested, please send me an E-mail. When I receive your E-mail, I will reply with instructions on how to access the journal, as well as information that you'll need to know when you arrive there.

I'll be creating another thread shortly for the actual discussion of the journal, which the beta testers will be using to discuss their findings.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Hello Dave - I am interested in being a volunteer to test the Gardener's Journal although it will be a few weeks off before I start sowing seeds, dividing plants etc.It would certainly help me towards keeping one of my new year's resolutions of recording what I do in the garden. We have had a very wet autumn here and now still have the best part of winter to survive so getting my hands dirty still seems a long way off ! Look forward to hearing from you.

I, too, would be interested in giving it a try. Since I am starting off from scratch at a new place this year. This would be a really cool way to keep track of it.

Ignore that last post. Maybe better wait till the bugs have been worked out.

i would like to try it. i start plants here about april 1..right now i keep track on paper but 'd like to try this.

If you are interested in participating in this BETA TEST, please send me an E-mail. When I receive your E-mail, I will reply with instructions on how to access the journal, as well as information that you'll need to know when you arrive there.

This is a beta test. During the test, your journal can be removed or damaged as we fix bugs and problems.

Just a warning. If you want to wait until we get the thing finished (it will be within 2-4 weeks from now) then that's suggested. But if you want to be involved in the creation of it, then send me the E-mail.

Count me in. I raise lots of house plants and overwinter many annuals-I have a 5 year old wax begonia in bloom right now. I also bring home lots of plants that Powell Gardens has discarded. Right now we have about 30 pots of perennial mums and asters on the front porch. I got them too late to get them into the ground and they needed a bit of babying. We also have several pots of canna that are the "if they dry they die" type. So we are raising canna in the house this winter!
