It is going to be 53 today in Michigan so took a walk around my yard..Gosh it feels good to be out there! I think my first project will be putting a new raised bed over by some large pine trees I have.I want to try roses this year for the first time. The sun feels WONDERFUL.......I know we have to be patient but its SO HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first chore was sort of unexpected. Some wild glads that were at the end of the old porch had to be dug because the new porch extends over that area. Well, those little corms are the dickens to get, you are bound to miss a few. Sure enough, a little patch of maybe a dozen or more poked up between the beams, along with some mint. Fortunately, I haven't put the floor in for that area, so today, I dug them out and relocated them. Not good for this year's blooms, but better than covering them with the floor. But the first real planned chore is to get all the junk out of the yard. It sure did accumulate while I was unable to get out there. Looks like a landfill.

Circleville, OH(Zone 8b)

Well I started on mine, I build a raised bed and filling with soil now. Have been laying a brick boarder around my flower beds next to the garage. Cutting edges and mulching.

I hope to start enlarging some of my flower beds this next week.
I will be moving some more trees and shrubs from my parents again this year, and seeing what else I can steal LOL.

This last fall we had several loads of soil brought in to level out some areas so we have tons of project lined up for this year.

I need to start taking photos of the stages we are under.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

First project is to build a retaining wall on one side of the swimming pool and make a 5 foot wide, 40 feet long flower bed. Hope to make it a brugmansia bed.

Montgomery Center, VT(Zone 3b)

My first job is to clean up my grow light room. My second job is to pound it into my head that I will clean it this year at the end of spring so that next year it is not the first job I will have to do. LOL!! :)
