Gardening vs Computers

Montgomery Center, VT(Zone 3b)

I feel so guilty as I would like to post more often but where does one get the time? Garden web site, e-mails to answer and trying to choose what plants to grow from seed are but a few things that keep me from posting at DG as often as I like.

How do you all manage your time with all that must be going on for you also? What happens during planting season? Last year I wasn’t on line yet and still didn’t have time to call my parents nor my close friends for three weeks during early spring.

Anyway I have to be honest, I can’t always be here but I promise to always come back. It seems that the more I do the more I get committed to doing more work. Recently I was asked by a know author and literary agent to write a book proposal based on either my impressionist garden or my Cyber Monet art work—I still don’t know which one to do.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you all that I am thinking of you.

Jerry, I know just what you mean. I'm spending tons of time planting trays, watering what I already have, and getting the beds ready outside. I used to be able to read every single post but just can't find the time right now. Just keep that promise to keep coming back, though. You have tons of info that we can use here, and would love to get to know you better.

I feel guilty for spending too much time on DG when I know I have so much to do and this will have to change. As the ground here becomes workable and the weather allows me to start projects outside then DG will have to take second place........well, except for the evening hours :-)

Jerry,
I try to get on davesgarden early mornings right now. Im a housemom and i can clean and click at the same time! ;]

Hi, Jerry, Good to hear from you. Since I am fairly new to DG and computers in general, it is still lots of fun for me to get on the computer. It's like visiting with my friends every day. Mostly now in the winter months, I am inside most of the time, and get to enjoy the computer, but this Summer, I'll be like Notmartha, out side with the grandkids or the garden and in the pool the rest of the time. My grandkids spend summers with me, at least the ones from out of town, the others spend all the time with me, but I love it.

Next week I start some of my plants. I am excited even if there goes more of my time,LOL. :)
