I have had 3 crashes this morning on DG - happens when I try to go to a thread. Once on General Discussion and once on Farm Life. Could be me, but another site seemed to be ok.

There's nothing on DG that would cause your computer to crash. We're not using any java, javascript, or any of the other things that tend to be buggy.

However, some pages are fairly heavy in size, and if your windows box is getting overloaded with memory leaks and such, it may be a good idea to occasionally reboot.

If you've not rebooted lately, please do that and see what kind of difference it makes on DG. Windows boxes probably need to be rebooted every so often to be cleared of their memory leaks.

Hi Dave, thanks - I shut the darned thing down every night, or nothing works. Windows needs more naps than I do. I don't know what it was this morning, but all seems fine now.
I've read all the Linux threads and it sounds like a good idea, BUT i'm just a computer/challenged gramma. I do well with what I have figured out, but it's all by rote - no deeper understanding of the systems or codes. Scratching the surface with a tiny little pin......
