Hello everyone. I am new to the list and have been reading forums and posts for a few days. This is the best gardening forum I've ever seen and believe me I read a lot of them. Recently I was fortunate to be able to turn my passionate avocation into a budding new career and have started a landscape design business. My primary interest is landscaping/gardening with native plants and those that easily acclimate to our hot and humid summers with low teen temps possible in the winter (Zone 7, Memphis, TN). However, like other plant junkies, I want one of everything and don't follow my own rules in my own gardens. Look forward to talking with all of you.

Welcome, you're in the right place. :-) I did landscaping back home in England also. If you look at the photo forum and go way back in the page sequence I believe there are about 11 photos of my garden in England. It was also shown on BBC TV about 6 years ago.

Hi Verdesign, so glad you found us! Another landscaping person...YIPEE!..My husband and I have our own landscaping business. I help him with his plans and he does the hard work..lots of fun. He is a licensed contractor and horticulturist. So glad to have you with us! Lisa

A belated thanks for the welcomes. This is a busy busy time of year, both in my personal gardens and with clients; however, I find myself checking in a couple of times a day -- quite unusual for me! What a lovely group of people.

Welcome! and good luck in your new business. Let us know what you want and what you have to trade on your page (here) and remember, some will take SASE. I have gotten a lot of cool seeds, bulbs, plants and cuttings but best of all the friendship and expertise of other gardeners. Did you know we are all going to raid Dave's near Knoxville in August ( I think)? I can't wait!
