Dave,
I just wanted you to know that the purchased plants arrived in great shape. I have decided to pot them and put them in the unheated greenhouse in the sunny window. I think that will give them a good chance to not suffer any shock right now. Thanks again and please know that I am thrilled with them.

Good deal! The hydrangea should be just fine to put him directly in the ground (in fact, I recommend you do put it in the garden now, so that it may get established before the onset of the growing season).
