i'd like to list all the plants in my garden without putting a sowing/starting date beside them so that i can plan cuttings etc at another time. Is there any way of leaving the date out please? Have tried, but only succeeded in deleting the whole item.

Phil I don't think there is a way to leave out that date. Take a peek at my default journal, this is where I have listed all my plants, and just left the default date of entry or changed it to the date the plant was acqired. You can delete the one automated entry of "sow this..." Then I made separate journals specifically for starting cuttings, seeds etc. I don't know if that will work for you, but it works for me.
