Horseshoe: A Message From Beyond

Howie and I were treated to the dulcet tones of the one and only Horseshoe's voice tonight when he called us. Seems his po' computer is down, so he mosied on down to his shoffice (shop-turned-office) and thought he'd call the nightowl geeks he knew for a fact would still be awake! (Who, US?)

He said to be sure and post and tell everyone hello.

He's going to see his computer guy about getting a new hard drive and having Win98SE installed on it - sounds like his old hard drive is maybe having problems. Cross your fingers, cross your toes, pray, wiggle your nose...We've gotta get Shoe back online!

I tell ya, that Shoe has such a nice, pleasant southern voice. I thought he'd sound gruffer or something, LOL. He could do radio. :o)

Hey, Shoe, I'm as nocturnal as they get. I feel slighted that you have never called me and treated me to those soothing tones of yours. Heck, even Cuz never calls. Sob, I ain't got nobody.

Aimee, don't feel bad. We talked a lot about what his computer's doing and whether he'd be better off getting a new one or getting this one fixed. The concensus was, fix the old one. :o)

I know what has happened to Shoe. He's been transported by Laura(the wonder down under) and Roadrunner(the sheriff) to that land of bush men called Australia. I think there is some kind of competition for him going on over there. If you don't believe me, go to this page and see for your self!!

I just talked to Horseshoe via computer, he had a guy there for 2 hours fixing it and he will get a new and bigger hard drive installed on Wed. So for now he is online but it is shakey. He says to let y'all know.

Sure is a nice "re-entry" to see ya'lls kind words. Many thanks! And many many thanks to Gw and GH for giving me their time...I just called them out of the blue, no invitation or anything. I was elated when they didn't hang up on me!
Gw was on Ebay. Po PO GH was chained tight down in the basement...he was cleaning it out! I imagine he was to work till daylite showed up! Eventually GW said,"I'll go get him" and I heard her walk away from the phone, put a key in a lock, and GH appeared!! We had a pleasant conversation (but folks, neither one of them has an accent so it was a bit hard to unnerstand them sometimes).
All in all, I'm going with what they said...I'm getting a new hard drive Wed!!! Now instead of my computer running like one of Mystic's frogs on crutches my machine is gonna run as fast and efficient as an antelope! I'm elated! (I'm really elated to be back online again!!!)

I'm not turning this thing off. Will keep it on till the tech guy shows up Wed to put the new stuff in. Ya'll are stuck with me again!!! (and EYES, my toes aint tiny! trust me!)

Shoe, that makes it really hard to "tip toe through the tulips" when your toes are large, doesn't it?

We can park our car *inside* the garage now! And we can see the basement floor in the storage area! I let him out of the basement last night, and he decided we should clean out the bedroom closet - so that's what we did until about 1am. This diet has some great side benefits...Like more energy! :-D

Be it known that other folks have ended up imprisoned when in contact with Sir Shoe, and some were transported to faraway lands. Ever the groupie, he reappeared sans robes just in time for the big dance, so we shall see about the durability of those toes. If this is strange to you, it's because you missed the ship to Australia, under the Wonder from Downunder's supervision. But we all struck it rich, you should have been there.
