The time I will really start to worry is when I forget the names of all my HOSTA!!!!!!! You can just shoot me then cause that's when I will have really gone over the edge!

60 in December. celebrated by going to Busch Gardens and riding all the roller coasters. In line at Montu, one of the better coasters in the world, DW said to me "look around, we're the only old people here". I said speak for yourself and hang on!

I just love all of your answers, especial the sneaky ones lol.
Zany as always you have a special way of puting things that brings a smile to my face but describes my feelings better than I ever could.

Louisa I was a grandmere for the first time at the age of 36, and thought it was a hoot. Now what I want to know is where is that picture of you that Pebble is talking about? I would love to see it.

Anna_Z you are so right, I have the same motto but mine is...I am like a fine wine and mellow with age.

GrannyL I saw your photo and I must say that you are a very good looking 53, what ever you doing it agrees with you.

Ginger_H well said!

Its_me_Laura I am so bad at remembering names. If you catch me on a bad day and ask me my name I have to stop and think....wait a minute don't rush me, I knew it yesterday lol

Sugar_fl congrats to the both of you.

Brad_cj that is a wonderful age and would love to see it again.

Ruby42 you in good company, we share the same problems except for the age lol

KiKisdad I think that you have more hustfa than I.

Vic I couldn't have stated it better, since we both are 51 but don't tell anybody it will be our little secret lol.
I am bless to have lived this long considering that my mother died at age 45, I thank God for every year that I am alive.
I am like Jack Benny he stayed at age 39 all of his life, but I had to top him so I say 29 lol

I'm 62 and hope when I grow up I'll be a senior citizen.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Sledder, it's that old fat woman in the mirror that has me scared. Some mornings, I catch sight of her in my hall mirror, and almost run back to jump under the covers instead of making coffee. And she stalks me, hanging around in store windows when I go anywhere. I see her there, skulking along with her bad posture and her ugly hair. No one ever seems to pay her any attention, so maybe I'm the only one bothered by her, but she really does give me a bad case of the heebie-jeebies.

Pittsburgh, PA(Zone 6a)

So Aimee,,you have a stalker? I'm just kinda curious...does she look anything at all like you? LOL "T" :)

(Zone 5a)

Every time I look in the mirror I say who are you going to believe the mirror or your lying eyes? Of course I am going to believe my lying eyes because the lady in the mirror isn't me it's just a fig nution of my imagination. My lying eyes tell me that I am seeing the same 29 year old woman lol.

Middle, TN(Zone 6b)

I will be 66 in July and Hubby just turned 70. We are glad to be alive so what's the big deal as long as we are still breathing? It is just a matter of a mind set and ours are set on enjoying life and being thankful for all of God's beautiful creations as long as we are able.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Does I have to answer my age??? Let me think... ummmm Yeah I guess so.. Here it is I am 29, will be 30 in March ughhhhh I am not ready to be 30.. HELP ME.. but I feel like 23 and still BLONDE!!!!

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

"eyes"

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

I keep saying when I grow up "Im gonna be a private eye."
My hubby says I will never grow up-he says im 17 going on 18! I said this was Teig and my senior yr! lol Who wants to grow up? NOT ME!!!!Not yet!!!

*SPLAT* >:-}<---evil grin!

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

No way does she look like me! I remember me, and I am a tiny little thing, not a fat cell to my name, with roses in my cheeks, a full red mouth, firm but soft jawline, smooth neck, bedroom eyes, hair the color of wheat in the sunshine. I have a tiny waist, trim hips, firm upper arms and hands free of spots. My smile is a guy magnet, my voice is music. That old thing is all fat, with sallow cheeks, thinning lips, saggy eyelids with bags under them, at least two chins, wrinkles on her fat neck, hair of some unearthly color, brown spots on her gnarled old hands, flaps under her arms, her voice croaks and she couldn't find her waist if she had a magnet. But she runs in front of me and plants her old self right in my line of vision when I try to check my hemline, and I haven't seen myself for years!

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

I'm 31 going on 85, or so I feel more days then I wish. I suffer from frequent migraines, had my gallbladder taken out in 99, had a biopsy in 2001(turned out to be an infected lymphnode that kept growing) thank god that's all it was. I have rheumatoid arthritis, been diagnosed as a manic depressive and am gaining weight like mad due to side effects of the meds :o(
Other than that, I try to keep myself occupied all day long, do lots with graphics and love to get e-mail and snail mail but I always seem to get junk mail in both my mail boxes :o(
I'm a giving person and try to help in any way I can except money because I don't have that :o(
I like making new friends.
Think that's about it. If you want more, just ask :)

Iola, WI

42 & lovin' it! DH & I never had children so I have no real responsibilities! I have a job I absolutely love (magazine publishing). Went to lunch with the boss today and stayed 2 hours! :) He doesn't care when we show up as long as deadlines are met.

Want to know something weird? My "problem birthday" was 25! When I was 17/18 most of my friends were 25. They always said: "Awwww, your just a kid". So I guess when I turned 25 I thought I was past my youth. :)

I loved turning 30 & 40 though. Seems like when you tell people you're 29 or 39 they automaticly assume you're a liar! (see all the 29 year olds here? *grin*)

Fun, Fun, Fun, keeps you Young, Young, Young!

Kentwood, LA(Zone 8b)

I am 57 and I do have a good start on my gray hair. I used to be a cotton top when I was a kid and the gray hair didn`t show up until 10 years ago. It wasnt but one or two but they stood up and waved at everyone wanting to be noticed.I have also found some weight that someone lost but they won`t claim it. I`m a very happy person and it doesn`t take much to please me.I guess I`m lucky as far as health, just high blood pressure, and authritis so far.Age doesn`t bother me nor growing old, I just don`t want to fall apart doing it.

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

You all are just too much!!!
I just turned 54 last month...some days I feel it and then there are the days that I am doing things a 20 yr. old can do. I am going to be a grandma this summer and I sure hope I won't let my mind know that, I want to stay a "young grandma".
DH will be 55 next week and has gone back to college this week for his 3rd degree...his Paralegal Certificate.

I'm 55 and other than being bald , almost all gray (including full beard), a few pounds overweight and exceedingly forgetful, life is absolutely wonderful!! Of course I have my share of medical difficulties but, hey, I woke up this morning - life is downhill the rest of the day!!! I know this is going to sound trite in the extreme but each day IS the first day of the rest of my life.
Has anybody noticed how many of the people who have posted on this thread are in their 50's? Wonder why?

Patrick

Here! Here! for all of us wonderful big kids. When I grow up I will be a bigger kid that's if I ever decide to grow up.....naw!

Antrim, Northern Ire, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

so whats the problem with being over 40? I just touched it back in November. I still go out clubbing with my younger friends, oldest 29. we were out from 10pm NYE until 7am. a 23hour session for me at least.

I said to them that some day I'm gonna have to stop going out because I'm getting older and they said "you will always be the same person to us no matter how old you are".

I dont feel old at any time of the day or night. I only have a small sprinkle of grey/gray hair around my right temple area. well, a largish patch. I'm always asked if I dye my hair. LOL

not wanting to boast - definitly no wrinkles, no gut but cant run as fast as I could

Mark
