List of Special Events and Sales?

I have just been corresponding with Louisa about the sales held by the Chicago Botanic Garden this spring. She will be travelling up this way, and was curious. There are several Rose, Hosta, Daylily, etc Society shows and sales, plus the Women's Board has a big perennial sale. I'm sure other Botanic Gardens, Clubs, or Societies have these also. Maybe others would be interested in these, too? Maybe a list or calender where these kinds of special events can be listed? Just a thought.

Yes, this has been brought up before and I've always liked the idea. One of my other sites (in no way related to DG) is LinEvents, (http://linevents.com ) and it's a Linux events website.

A scaled down version of this for DG would be quite cool. I don't know when or if I'd get to it, but it would be a cool thing.

Yes Debbie and Dave I think this is a great idea too. The first thing I do when I visit anywhere is make enquiries about plant sales, garden centers and gardens. This would be a great way to do investigative work before a trip. Checked on the link Dave but didn't get very far on the Virginia Linux - most everything I clicked on was unavailable - but I get the idea and it is good!!

How do you find out about these-where would I look here in Michigan-Id be willing to help search for info-just tell me how?
