Morning Glories 2025 #01

Gautier, MS

Pretty blooms Jackie.
I haven't been able to get to dmail from my yahoo account. Somehow it's messed up. I'll have to get my daughter to figure it out.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, it was just to let you know I received the special seeds you sent me. thank you again. Can't wait to try all those beautiful pinks, :-)

Gautier, MS

Glad you got them Jackie. I hope they give you all pretty blooms.
It feel like spring here, but I know we will probably get some more cold weather.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, I'm sure I will get some beauties out of those seeds, can't wait to start some.
Turning colder here, we have a week of 40's coming with colder nights. So tired of the cold but as long as we don't have any ice

Gautier, MS

Hope you and Linda are doing OK. We are still have warm days here. I started more seedlings of mgs. Still no blooms on my inside blooms.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

We are expecting snow tonight. Our high today was 34. Then back up to.60 Thursday.
Crazy weather.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, I bet you'll start getting more buds soon on your insider vines Some mg's though seem to bloom much faster than others.
Linda, that's crazy weather for sure. Although we were having some warm temps in between some much colder days, doesn't make any sense

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

We haven't had any snow yet. It's only 17 degrees this morning and now they are saying icy roads are expected. Don't think I will go anywhere today.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, if you don't have to get out, stay home so you don't risk getting hurt or damaging your car. Hope your temps warm up soon and that you don't get any ice.
Spring will finally get here but this is some crazy weather we've been experiencing.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

It's all of 18 degrees now. Roads are icy in spots. I'm not going anywhere.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I feel so sorry for any homeless people out in this and any animals too

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I do too. My daughter in law and I have made and donated 2 dozen quilts for the homeless. Still making more as needed.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, thank you and your d-i-l for helping the homeless. Quilt making is something I never learned to do, wish I had. My mother made beautiful quilts.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thank you. We love helping those in need.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, I wish everyone felt that way but I realize not everyone is in a position to help.
We might have an icy mix Tues. I hope not since I need to be able to get out and feed the abandoned animals that depend on me. Not to mention the bitter cold that's also coming along with this winter mix. Hurry up Spring

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

We had about 2 inches of snow yesterday and today. Still cold tomorrow.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, maybe the same system that you have already experienced coming our way.
I wish that we could just get the snow but pretty sure we'll get ice

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Spring can't get here fast enough.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Just 4 days after this sleet/freezing rain and snow comes thru, the temps will reach 60 degrees or more
truly crazy weather.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

From early in the summer
# 4 is one of my Plumeria's
# 5 is pandy growing up the power line

Beautiful blooms Jackie.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda, I hope Helena has some new blooms for us soon
I haven't started any new vines yet

Gautier, MS

Pretty blooms Jackie.
No, still no blooms for me. I'm very disappointed in this vines so as soon as it warms up they will be going outside.
I loved the leaves but without blooms I have a tangled mess.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, sorry your new vines are being so slow to bloom for you. Seems like when
the leaves are showy, the blooms come slower.
I gave up any pretense of trying to untangle my vines last yr, just didn't have the time.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie, eventually they will bloom. Being patient and just going to wait.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Yes, just have to be patient. I bet you will see blooms in the next
2 or 3 weeks.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

A few pics from last year. These weren't worth sending. I was just trying to send something since we
hadn't posted for several days.

Hate it that I didn't have time to look for some better pics

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Those are beautiful. Thanks for putting a smile on my face.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda, Hope I get some better blooms this summer.
I would love to start a few seeds but haven't even started my taxes yet
So far behind here.

Gautier, MS

Been busy too, on nice warm mid morning I try to do things outside. Then I have to rest.
Nice pictures Jackie.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I'm hurt girls. took a nasty fall Sat night late. My back is killing me, a compression or compound fracture. can't remember which. Pain meds can;t even touch the pain, so worried here. Can't believe I was so clumsy. Family having to help me feed the strays.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh no. So sorry to hear that.
Do you need surgery?
I will keep you in our prayers.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Linda, I pray that I won't need surgery, too soon to tell now.
They said it could take months to heal.,. I bet you it takes a lot longer. .I keep forgetting and picking up heavy things, I;ve got to stop doing that or I could make'the break worse.

Gautier, MS

So sorry to hear about your fall Jackie. I hope you take it easy and give yourself time to heal. I'll be praying for you.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

It's so hard to tell ourselves to slow down and listen to doctors orders.
Getting old isn't easy. I will be 70 in June and it's getting harder every day to do things i used to do with ease.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena. Appreciate the prayers from you and Linda. I just have so much to do
that it's very hard for me to slow down. That's what caused my fall trying to go too fast
got my feet tangled so I went tumbling into the fridge, took a hard blow to my spine.smh.

Gautier, MS

Hope you are feeling a little better Jackie.
To my surprise Igot one bloom on my tangled vines. Funny it bloomed facing inside instead of towards the window and sunlight. Still a little too cold to put these vines outside.

Beautiful bloom Helena.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Lovely color Helena.
I would feel a little better if I quit doing things to hurt it again, smh
Can;t even lean or bend over to pick things up off the floor. A habit that's hard to break
The wind so violent here, it broke the window out of the front of my greenhouse.door
yesterday..
