Thanks for the new thread Jackie.
Beautiful bloom Helena.
Praying you ladies are staying warm. We woke to snow and ice this morning. Going to be in the freezing temperatures for us most of this week.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

We didn't have snow or ice this morning but we could have b4 the week is out.
Expecting the night temps to be mostly below freezing and lucky to have days in the 30's this week
It could be worse.

It was 34 degrees at 6 am and up to 47 in the afternoon. Not sure if it got higher but we had beautiful sunshine. Still too cold for me.
Another one of my favorite blooms.

Thats lovely Helena, the color block just sets off the pretty striped colors.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie. Hope you and Linda are doing OK. Hard to get use to this cold.
I hope to grow this bloom again.

Helena, that is beautiful.
We have had cold temps, 32 if we're lucky. 7 inches of snow, yesterday and today.
I don't like these cold temps.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

That is one of the prettiest morning glory's I've ever seen Helena, amazing color
Linda, we got about the same amount of snow but not nearly as much as some in Ar did. It's trying to melt up to 34 or 35 here but will refreeze tonight. We see some cars driving down the road. I would like to
go feed the strays I feed every day before the temps start dropping.
I put out a ton for them yesterday b4 the snow but raccoons may have got it.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda and Jackie.
I'm going to try to find those seeds.
We had rain and it's been too cold for us here. Of coarse I had to catch a cold.

A lovely pic of a beautiful morning glory Helena.
Sorry you caught a cold, I'm just miserable when I catch a cold. My symptoms just
go on and on.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie. I'm feeling a little better.
Happy with my vines inside, the leaves look great, no bugs. They, most, have climbed to 6 ft. I'm going to have a mess when the start climbing into each other but I don't care, all I want to see is blooms.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thats how I feel too Helena. Just want to see blooms. I didn't even bother with trying to gather many seed this summer. I have more than I can ever plant but just sick and tired of some of them.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Helena, that bloom is beautiful. I love that color.
Praying it gets warmer soon for all of us.
We still have a little snow. It melts a little during the day, then re freezes at night.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Melting a little here too every day Linda. but the roads have been clear for quite a while. By Sunday evening we will have temps below freezing day and night for 4 or more days with drastic wind chills. I dread it.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda. Hope your snow is all melted. It's cold here but a beautiful sunny day. Not sure about tomorrow with all the colder weather predicted.
What my vines look like.

Your vines look great Helena. Can't believe how tall they're getting.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jackie, I agree. They look very healthy.
It was 12 degrees when I got up this morning, 22 for the high today.
Stay warm ladies.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda.
It was freezing this morning, still more bad weather coming. Had a beautiful sunny day though.

Gautier, MS

It's freezing cold and it's snowing!

So glad we're not getting the snow this go around Helena. We still have some snow on the ground in places from over a week ago. We hope to see temps go above freezing for the 1st time in 3 or 4 days. Are you getting heavy snow?

Gautier, MS

It's still snowing Jackie. They said 3 to four inches. But I am enjoying this snow storm since it's the first time that it has snowed this much down here. Loving it!

I would enjoy it more Helena but I'm afraid I will fall and break a hip. It is
beautiful coming down when it's big flakes. Glad you're enjoying it. :-)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

It's beautiful to look at. I am like Jackie, too afraid to go out and fall.
It's 27 right now, supposed to reach 40 today. Most of our snow is gone.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Yesterday was our 1st day above freezing in 3 or 4 days. Now I hear there's another round of bitter cold weather coming in a few days, I hope they're wrong.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

We hit 34 this afternoon. It was warm, compared to the 5-12 degrees we have had.

Gautier, MS

It was a historic snow fall for us. Seven to eight inches of snow, more in other places. It started to melt Wednesday and today when the sun was out. But we still have patches of ice on a few roads. The kids have been off all week. Next week the trips are supposed to be in the sixties.
I was checking my inside vines and spotted at least 2 tiny buds. So looking forward to blooms too.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

The weather people aren't saying anything about more bitter cold so someone was wrong, So glad, Its been miserable the last couple of weeks ready for spring.
Looking forward to your blooms Helena.

Gautier, MS

Another beautiful sunny day here. Warmed up too almost like early spring.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Our high was 35. It's trying to get warm.
Glad to hear you are getting buds Helena.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda. It's been warming up by noon.
Hope everything is OK with Jackie and her family. It's been a little too long since she posted.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

It's trying to get warmer here too. Drizzling rain today. 43 for the high.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Sorry girls, the days just got away from me. We've had a lot of Dr appointments this week. Something going on all the time.
So glad the bitter cold is gone for now, it was over 60 today and will be 70 in a couple of days. Going to really enjoy those temps.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I hear you when you say the days get away from you.
Enjoy your warm weather.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda, I hope the warm front, comes your way.
So much rain here since last night, I'll have to wear boots to the greenhouse,
It's on a downhill slope so there could be 3 inches of water standing in the g house floor.

Gautier, MS

Glad everything is OK Jackie. Guess it was my turn to worry about you. Jackie check your dmail. No rain here yet, but the temps have been nice to be outside.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena I answered your dmail. The water in my greenhouse was at least 3 inches deep I had to move my back up space heater to one of the benches so it wouldn;t get wet. I lifted all the plants I had sitting in the floor to the shelves except the ones that were so heavy I couldn;t lift them. Hope the water level goes down before I lose
those big plants.

Gautier, MS

Hope the water in your gh has subsided Jackie.
Here's my first winter bloom inside.
My vines are growing too tall but don't see any other buds.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Oh my gosh, what a lovely bloom Helena. Your other vines will start showing buds soon.
The water had gone down by the next morning Helena leaving a muddy floor.
Today will be a 70 degree day
Sent you a dmail Helena.

Glad to hear the water went down for you Jackie.
Ladies, those blooms are absolutely beautiful.
We are supposed to be at 83 this afternoon.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda. I can't even imagine 83 this early in the year but I would welcome it.
Our winter was mild until the snowstorm came along and then the brutal cold temps
Those cold temps hurt my joint's but I still had to get out and feed the strays and check the temp in my greenhouse.
