Morning Glories 2024 #07

Hope your mouth heals Jackie.
Here are my mg vines in Styrofoam cups inside a cooler in front of the window under lights too. I still have to figure out how to add the bamboo sticks the are already starting to climb. And I still have 7 more seedlings to get into bigger cups.

Helena, I don;t know how I missed your post. Yes, your seedling are looking good, coming along great. So glad you've got these going so we can enjoy the blooms with you this winter.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda and Jackie. I'm so glad for the hardie lurpureas. Yesterday's bloomed, I think got pollinated in gh. Today another small bloom.

Such a beautiful color.

I love the purpureas too Helena. I planted a shibori (purp) like your pretty bloom, but the seeds got pulled up by mistake. I'll try again in the Spring.

Pretty pictures of your blooms Jackie.
Hope Linda and you had a good Christmas too.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena.
I hope I don't gain 5 lbs or more from all the pie I consumed, lol

Gautier, MS

Me too Jackie. I had a piece of sweet potato pie every day last five days.
My vines inside are climbing and looking good. I missed at least 2 blooms in gh 3 days ago.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I am glad we had lots if company here. No left overs.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Glad all of the sweets are gone so I can't overdo it. I've had way too many pieces of pie.
I don't know what I've done to my camera, now when I plug it in to the computer,it'doesn;t bring up a menu or ask me what I want to do. I wanted to send

A striking bloom Helena. I hope you still have seeds of this one..

Gautier, MS

I don't think I have Jackie. I don't even remember the name of this one. I would have to go when I first posted it in 2009.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Helena, that is so pretty.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda.
I had to go search and find the picture for the name "Blue Marble" from Emma's seed. I remember that when I grew them and collected seeds they were beige, not black that I got from her. So if I find them I will know.

Helena, I think I had some Blue Marble seeds at one time. One year, those seeds I grew produced an almost white bloom. My 1st bloom from the original seeds that you or Emma shared with me,made pretty blooms but they were not as lovely as the one you grew.

Gautier, MS

If you find those seeds, grow one. I'd love to see it. Funny how they don't always grow the same. Sometimes it makes me not to want to grow it again if I'm disappointed.

Open pollination does that, creates something entirely different.

Gautier, MS

Rained a bit overnight, we might still get some more.
Another from years ago, one of my favorites Blushing Bride.
