Best,Worse, what did I learn today..come sit a spell with cherished old friends who are always welcoming to new friends..

How is your day going Lindakay?? Pray8ng your sister walks with the angels today.

Deb, how much fun will that be, thinking if where you will put what you need for yourself with all those puppies.Sharon says it’s a must to socialize the pups, she does same, going to a show in Belleville Michigan (wonder if she is close to Lindakay?) have you prepared yourself incase somebody wants to take one home? My problem would be dividing the siblings, don’t think I could do.

Well Sharon, we are 2 of a kind, I. Use the old lady bit as well, think I save almost $100 a month on my Rogers bill because of it. When Roger and I lived on the lake and had mega company we bought ice maker, couldn’t live without it either. Saw at Thanksgiving at Greg’s they have a portable one. So costly when you buy the refrigerator with one.

Break time almost over all the leaves that have fallen are now mulched, can you tell me why I didn’t think if this the last few years? I am nearing empty on both lawnmower and car, have an appointment for therapy at 8 tomorrow morning so will fill them up at same time. If I had to guess I’d say in all the times I’ve done the mulching maybe I have 1/2 done.

Did vacuuming upstairs and the 3 decks so now i will do a bit of playing. Saw a burning pit made with spray foam and skeleton body parts. The spray foam would likely take a day to cure so I will continue putting body parts of the base over the lights then spray and maybe find something else to do until Giorgia gets here at 4pm

Because I am going to Midland in the morn8ng and John and Darlene are leaving for Myrtle Beach on the weekend i want to make John some butter tarts, trying to talk myself into go8ng to liquor store to buy a mini bottle of rum as my recipe calls for it. Big sigh, do I want to do that?

To all others I’ve not responded to I’ll be back on next break.

Susan they sure feed you good at these events, I’d be go8ng out everyday so i don’t have to cook. Did Bon get served and RCMP c9me with him to get his things

Thinking of Karen

One hour to take a break before Giorgia gets here at 4. Don’t you feel content when you put in one heck of a day and can see a difference.

Did go and get rum, holy wah, paid $12 for a little mini bottle, came home and looked at recipe, needed corn syrup, drats back to town. Not sure they turned out because of me, big sigh, have trouble here and there taking them out of the tins so i thought why not set the pie crust in a muffin paper and it would be easier, i am thinking not..oh well if not nice enough to give away guess who will have a lot of sweets to eat.

Kathy has been sleeping. She woke for 2 minutes while hospice was here checking on her. Asked for morphine, and immediately crashed.
Belleville is about 7 hours east of here..it's closer to Detroit.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

worse - Bob did NOT get served. The fellow who was going to, changed his mind.
The RCMP didn't come with Bob on the 13th, and didn't reply back to my query about it.
better - I finally got the paperwork off to the Alberta Registries so our Wellness group will be reinstated as a charitable society. And, of course, now I have all the Divorce paperwork done, so it's ready TO be served.
best - my place is getting to really look like MINE, and that's a good feeling.

Gotta tell you ladies, being stuck to where you can't handle paperwork you Know needs to be done is very debilitating.
Now, I need to do those lap quilts that I couldn't do while I was so "stuck" on everything else.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Betty, is that a cake?? It sure is cute!

Kathy is obviously in so much pain, being asleep is a gift. I am sorry you are both having to walk through this.

So Bob came alone on the 13th? or did not come at all? I am really sorry to hear that he was not served. Removing him from all areas of your life will be a wonderful thing.

I found someone to do the ceiling fans!! He is working on them now.

Octavio is painting the front doors. I know I will need to buy a new seal for around the door as well. I can't say I "love" the new paint but it does look fresh and clean. I've ordered new large black numbers for the house. These will be even bigger than the ones I am replacing. I saw you can buy LED numbers that actually the numbers themselves light up. Ya, not paying $40 per number for house numbers!!

Still lots to do but I am getting closer to done.

Verona, ON

Good morning everyone. It is a dull gray day here and it looks like that is the forecast for the rest of the week. Rain in the forecast starting Friday.

Betty all of my wood is stacked in the carport. All 3 bush cords of it. I haven't had a fire yet as once I start that wood stove up it stays on till Spring.

Sort of feeling down in the dumps the last couple of days. I might take out my rug hooking and work on that. Sure thing to make me more cheerful. I spent hours over the weekend raking leaves only to see them right back where they were in the first place.

Will check back in later. I have decided to make this an indoor day.

Safe travels Deb. I hope you have a good time - I know you will meeting up with your Afghan friends. Hope all of your companions travel well. I've only had 1 dog over the years that would get car sick so consider myself lucky.

LK keeping you and your sister close to my heart. Those final hours are really difficult as you sit there just waiting for your loved one to no longer be in pain. When Warren was going through his final hours he was moved to a private room which also had a cot that I could take a nap on if I wished.

Oh Susan the divorce will come just later rather than sooner. I or at least my proxy had a terrible time serving my first husband the divorce papers. I was trying to play fair and not have the bailiff go to his place of work - he was a HS teacher. Ex thought he was Columbo (remember him on TV?) and thought he could out play the bailiff. The day I finally had my day in court I did a jig in the court house parking lot.

Pat you are really going gangbusters with you sister Marie. You'll have all of those chores tamed in no time.

Zeke is a handful this morning. How dare I not walk him as soon as my eyes open. Zeke comes and stand over we staring at my eyes willing them to open.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

I followed up with 2 different guys about installing the ceiling fans & finally got one to do them! One at Dana's house and one at mine. ONE more thing off the list.

Marie called in tears last night. She said she got a call from her oldest son Matt and needed to talk to me face to face. The very short version, he no longer wants to be in touch with Marie over what his wife perceives as injustices against her. His wife has finally succeeded in alienating Matt from all family and friends.

I stayed late and helped Marie finish up the Halloween costumes that need to get shipped out to MA. so they make it time for the grandkids party on the 20th,. Today is another round of working on the house. Sharon & I are going to be buying and preparing the wood for the repair of the patio that is scheduled for tomorrow.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, ohh just looked up at the clock to make sure it is morning and it is, just.

Lindakay, just know you are all in my thoughts, is the caregiver there all the time now?
7 hours, you must be at the furthest point of the state.

Deb, enjoy your show, are you getting close to getting the points you need with a win at this show. Sharon left about an hour ago, she says as soon as she crosses the border at Sabrina there is a Joann’s so she has already checked their inventory and they have her 20 yards of tone on tone snowflake and will replace the 8 year D’s I loaned her.

Dianne my weather is like yours want to get outside and put a few hours in but nope, light drizzle.glad your wood is done and no need for you to be out freezing your hands as it won’t be long before that white stuff appears.can just see Zeke thinking “I know how to get her up” lol have you started your rug hooking? Are you like all of us, once you start it you work til it’s finished? I’ve forgotten the design! Does the kits still come in precut wool strands or do you have to cut them..just thinking, that is something I might enjoy. Is your eyesight better, someone was telling me about a craft that you add beads to, can’t quite remember what they call it, might be interesting.

Susan, I would think that serving someone papers could be dangerous, any idea on what you will do now? Perhaps one of your older friends who are full of spitfire could do it, you could stay on the corner while she does it, surely he wouldn’t harm an old lady?

Pat, what photo do you speak of that looks like a cake? The one with the skulls?
Surely Marie’s son wouldn’t hurt her by saying he will cut all ties, if he does I know one name that would be off the will immediately. Imagine, with all Marie has to contend with and he pulls this..grrr
Guess we all have some9ne in our families that are as hateful. What was the costumes? Made Grayson’s last year but they made the ups truck and costume, was adorable and ingenious so no costume this year,

Finally comfy in bed but have to stay awake til Ziggy decides to come in. I just told the little girl, when you leave let’s make sure Ziggy doesn’t get out, what a do I do? Yep, go out and talk to the mom and leave door open drats

Here comfy in bed, ate a whole bag of ju jubes now thinking about microwaving popcorn, guess i worked up an appetite

Thinking of you and Kathy tonight lindakay

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, I miss typed. It's a 3 hour trip not 7.
Hospice nurses are here every other day, just to make sure we have plenty of supplies and meds on hand.
Kathy has had another day of sleeping. It getting hard for her to drink anything fluids without choking, so hospice brought in some sponges on a stick, we dip them in water, just to keep her lips moist.

Verona, ON

Good morning. We didn't get off to a very good start. The TH took off north on the lane after I dropped Zeke's leash. Chaos usually doesn't need a leash. You can bet the next time we walk they will both be on leashes the whole time we are out. I had to take the Bronco to round them up. Of course they go to the same spot - Kieran's. I am not a happy camper.

Betty jujubes and popcorn sound good to me. I know better than to eat before going to sleep but I always need sweet. That reminds me I need to refill my treat drawer in the kitchen. Just emptied it to send to my sister's boys. They are in their sixties but love the treat boxes. They particularly like it when I visit the LCBO and add some bottles to the box. They never go off their property and have 'helpers' pick up what they need in town.

Still haven't had a fire. I'm holding out for as long as I can. Right now I just put a hoodie on in the early am and then later in the evening.

BBL

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Betty, I don't think Matt is being intentionally "mean". He is, in my opinion, a victim of emotional abuse and manipulation. His wife is a pro of manipulation and misdirection and could sell an Eskimo ice. Although I believe why he stays in this warped relationship may have started as a "fear of being alone", I think it's much about her ability to twist his mind to believe her lies, a close cousin to Stockholm effect. It's got all the ear marks of Domestic Violence without the physical aspect.

Yes, the skulls, was that a cake you made or did I misremember?

It must have been the night for cats. Stanley did not appear at my table when Marie brought Panda Express, that concerned me. He loves Marie AND the Chinese noodles. He did not come when I called, he was hidden somewhere in the house. At bedtime I gave up and went to bed with my bedroom door open. I figured he'd find me during the night. Sure enough, I woke up and could not turn over. He is had his 14 # bunnies parked on the top of the bedspread pinning me to the bed.

Dianne, yep sounds like Chaos just trades a quick romp with freedom for a leash for a while!

Linda, praying for a release from pain for you and your sister.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Bob didn't come on the 13th, because the constables were on priority calls (Friday the 13th, right?!) and they haven't set up another time for him to come.
My dear friend Dianne offered yesterday to serve him with the papers. Yes, she's a spitfire and older. He wouldn't DARE go up against her lol She's going to the town where he now lives, tomorrow, and hopefully will find him at home to serve the papers.
On another note - today is our Senior's monthly meeting. We have a Santa coming for our Christmas party on Dec 10. We're going carolling with the Fire Dept on the 9th, the Community Centre is having a Christmas market on Dec 2. Busy beginning of Dec lol
Oct 26th - we're catering to 150 with baking, and 8 staff members for a Land company. I've been asked to go to an Oct 25th County meeting (and dinner!), I'm doing well at bowling (148, 202, 160 is what I pre-bowled on Sunday because I have a meeting today), Oct 31st we're having a Hallowe'en treat handout at the Community Centre. Residents are encouraged to bring their treats there, and dress up. I took over some decorations to the CC meeting last night.
Nov 14th our seniors are going to see Danny And Deliliah at a live theatre.
We have some new residents in our hamlet & we need to make up some Newcomer baskets (info & cookies). My church is having a Cookie Walk, and I'm to make 6 doz cookies for that.
All this, plus the regular stuff I do each week. LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

Another day that just zipped by

Dianne I have had the furnace running for several weeks and the heat it gives is nothing like a good wood fire. I put the fireplace on and love the heat it gives off, problem being where the thermostat is, as soon as the living room gets hot the furnace stop running and the rest of the house is cool. Think it’s around 48°F right now. That is maddening for sure having the TH run off, at least they stick to a route and don’t go further away. Do they run to or away from you when they see the bronco?

Pat, regardless of the wife I think Matt needs a backbone, he has to understand Marie is overwhelmed and mourning right now and should be adding extra stress to her life wife or not.

That piece will be for Halloween, I will make a fire pit and have the skeletons look like they are burning and charred. i added paint for the blood, spray painted it black, once it is fully dried I will dry brush to make it look like charred bones.

Dropped of 1 1/2 dozen of butter tarts to John, picked up potassium and magnesia while in town, hooe taking them helps my Charlie horses and feet cramps

A lady from the seniors housing up the road dropped in for a visit, seems nice enough bit i was looking forward to a nap and I’ve less than an hour before Arianna comes for her lesson so even though my eyes are heavy and Ziggy is sleeping next to me no can do..,

Think I might have a butter tart, the sugar in it ought to give me a high!

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

I finally got the ice machine Fed Ex return to work. So that is off my list. Front landscape is close to be completed for spring. I went looking for dwarf red snapdragons for my neighbor today. I went to three different nurseries but no luck. Of course, I purchased bunch of plants for me which I do not need. But I do have many empty pots, so I think I will plant the empty ones and when the summer pots are done, I will just change them out. We were 93 today and will remain in that range until end of weekend and then we head down into the 70s.

I got the plants for the pots up by the guard gate today and the HOA gardener is going to help me plant them. I noticed the pots were looking pretty bad. So I just went home, got a can of brown (Matte Coffee) and wiped them down and painted them. I will ask for forgiveness if the rest of the board doesn't like them but I really do not think they will even notice them.

Betty, I love your idea about the skeletons. So clever. My Peanut is out again tonight. I usually get her in by 4pm. Last two nights and again to night, when we start for the back door, Emma and I go in and Peanut just walks on by. Cats can be so irritating. And why would the lady drop by from Senior Housing. Trying to get you to move into their establishment. I was thinking the other day what would I do in a senior living place. They would have to let me garden or it would be no deal. They are building one just around the corner from my home and it has wonderful views of the mountains and the North valley. But no balconies.

Pat, are far as Marie, she should have told him, and still can, that he would be very missed and if he changes his mind, the door will always be open. Yes, verbal abuse, IMHO, is worse than physical abuse.

Diane, I could let Emma go and she would not leave my side but I have several neighbors that have larger dogs and the moment they are shown any lack of control, off they go. They do not get out of sight but they also do not return. Kind of a game they play. I hear the owners yelling. Several times they come over to say hello to Emma and I grab them by the collar. But your dogs are big and strong and that probably would not be possible for me. I have not had the air or the heat on for about 2 weeks and I am sleeping longer and going into a deeper sleep but having weird dreams. Dreams are always a problem that never gets settled before I wake up. Some nights, they pick up where they left off the night before. Usually a familiar trend. I used to dream I could fly but have not had that dream for quite awhile.

Linda, I am so pleased you are able to spent this time with your sister. It will mean a lot to you later. You should tell her stories of what you two did together. She may be able to hear you. I see you and I follow quite a few of the same reels on Instagram.

Susan, you have way too many things going on for my taste. I only want one appointment a week. And none if possible. The town and center is very lucky to have you to help put this all together for them. Pretty soon you will have many new members because they will see how much fun you guys are having. Good friend you have there in serving Bob with the papers. It will probably be a joy for her.

I have a busy day tomorrow in the garden next to the KOI pond. It's been on hold for close to two weeks because of working in the front landscape. Next week I am going to help my daughter in her landscape. She doesn't know it because she is going to Arizona for two days on the 25th and she will be surprised when she gets home.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

THAT's the kind of surprise I like Sharon!!

Sharon, Marie basically said those same things, You change your mind, you know you can return etc.

Yes, I agree a backbone is what Matt needs, but he won't grow one. Added to HIS stress is he is job hunting after losing his job months ago. Before this over he will lose his house and car. I expect his wife will be RIGHT after that. His employment pays WELL but is very volatile and he has not adjusted his lifestyle accordingly.

All in all, a miserable day. The guy that came to inspect and pump the septic tank says the drain field is failing, and connect to sewer. He gave me a couple of names that do the work.

Then when we started to repairs to the patio, the supports were rotten. So after the money I spent on new wood & paint, we demolished it. the wood is in my truck for the dump, that I will need to pay to dump! The "best part", Sharon & I had painted all the wood in advance to prevent having to paint overhead. I won't be able to return any of that.

So a big delay in the getting the house on the market, I don't yet have a timeline for the work or the official word on the cost. It was not one of my better days.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I sit by my sister for hours, just talking to her going down memory lane. I will massage her legs and hands. She seems to enjoy it.
Pat, sorry you are having problems with your home. I think all repairs go south. Start to fix one thing only to discover more to do.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, been up since six to spent time cutting out bowl cozies so now having my 1st cup of coffee.

Each time I open this threat my heart beats rapidly wondering if yet Lindakay will have to undergo such a traumatic time in her life in such a short period of time. We love you Lindakay, keep us close to your heart when you need strength. I do hope today is the day Kathy walks amongst the Angels. You have been a rock for her, she knows and feels your love and remembers those fun memories.

Cold drinks for Sharon on those hot days, likely this time of year is your favourite, i love the 70’s. you are so attune to to floral design in containers you see the upgrading that needs done at the entrance and i am with you, wonder how many will notice?
Your daughter will appreciate the work you do on her garden I am sure.

These projects Pat don’t seem to be going as well and as easily as you had hoped, never fails does it. Will there be a project you might attempt to use what you bought that is good? You must get so disheartened.

Dianne, light rain here, with last night’s rain it’s just enough not to be able to get anything done.did you start your project?

Deb how is the show going, any takes on the puppies?

Sharon had 2 best of shows and 2 reserves yesterday, she is hoping to have another good day today but doubts it. Her female dog is only female in group, she says males always do much better.

The neighbour’s young 16yrs old son is working hard stepping up to take his dad’s place, just had Jules who does my Snowplowing over to take one of the vehicles away, he is trying hard.

While Jules was there I called him over and asked if he was still doing my drive this year, $1,000 seems high but with cost of insurance, gas and labour things go up. I’m lucky he doesn’t make me pay all at once, $250 a month for 4 months so gave him his deposit as I know the hire stuff will come soon.

No kids tonight but 5 tomorrow so maybe I will work in a nap today.

Kathy is still with us, but everyone says because she sleeps so much is because she is traveling. Her body is trying to get ready to go. We have all been praying she goes to heaven soon, so there is no more pain. In her sleep she keeps reaching upward, like she is grabbing something. Don't know what she is dreaming of.

No, she has seen everyone.

Rainy day,
Just checking in on Linda Kay and Kathy!

Drats, Can smell, skunk outside, strong as can be, Ziggy’s out there so hope he didn’t Tanglewood skunk. I’ve been calling him and calling him, but he isn’t paying attention.

Having a coffee before the little ones get here at nine.

Truck next-door is loaded and gone few parts like the doors in the hood or in the driveway so hope eventually that’s gone as well

Praying for peace and comfort tor all my Dave's Garden friends.

Victoria Harbour, ON

That double rainbow is calling Kathy home..so serene!

It goes without saying, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Did it rain today or were you able to get some of your projects done Pat.
Been in bed since 3:30pm trying to support my shoulders so just watching Hallmark movies.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

I took the load of lumber to the dump Saturday morning & emptied all but the last piece by myself. I managed to get a scratch from a nail. I scheduled a tetanus shot for today after church.

The carpet cleaners came and did Dana's carpets. I was able to schedule the house cleaners on Monday. I am having issues with a couple of light fixtures there. I have flipped the breakers just in case. I will test some light bulbs at home and make sure the problem's not just burned-out bulbs. The new bulb I put in did NOT light but I had not tested IT first sooooo.... These are the last 2 hurdles before I can turn the house over to Carrie's best friend to take care of the showings & paperwork for rental.

We saw 2 houses last night. Marie did not like either.

The guy that came to wash Marie's inside and outside windows expressed an interest in her house. THAT would be such a blessing!! We'll see, as thrilling as that possibility is, I don't expect it to pan out.

I will have to go back and read, Stanley played with my computer, and I can tell I missed posts.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, we goT a heavy frost last night, know i should have worked a little longer in the gardens. Might be too late to cut down the rest of the Angel trumpets, perhaps it didn’t kill the roots. That is what you get when you put things off. big sigh

How did Kathy and your night go.

Lordy Pat, it’s a wonder you are able to move after doing all that wood. Is Marie being picky or the homes just weren’t suitable. That is a big undertaking after just losing her husband.

I didn’t sleep most of the night, was restless, fell asleep at 6 and just got out, having a coffee then get busy.

Good morning. We had a heavy frost last night too. We slept pretty good. Hospice nurse comes in this morning to give her a sponge bath, and to change the dressing on her bed sores she developed yesterday.

Victoria Harbour, ON

You will be heading to a warmer climate soon Lindakay. Bed sores are a terrible thing to have, terrible getting with all else she has to endure them.

I just came in but I got a lot accomplished. Marie came over and helped rake a few areas so I could mulch them, i did an area in the back yard then mulched, feel like I am getting ahead of it.

Hardest as always is getting the water feature disconnected and out of the pond, i need to hose both the pump I used to empty pond again after all that rain and the water feature but wearing a winter coat does my shoulders I’m so a job for tomorrow.

Drats, everything get screwed up when you sleep in, am hoping hamburger patties, mashed potatoes and veggies cook quickly so I can eat before Vanessa gets here at 3:30

Not sure how my life seems to have me on the run everyday??

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Is Kathy on an "air bed"? I doubt it as she JUST developed the pressure ulcers. At this late date is doubtful they would change the beds.

It's really hard to say whether Marie is just "Picky" or just wants HER own house, somewhere else with ALL the modifications done! LOL I'm not going to stress over that part for now. We are not in a position to buy yet. There is a house we both LOVE but the parking is just not a good fit. Hard to say whether we will be able to overcome that or not. She sees it as a much bigger issue than I do. For the twice a year or so that we would need more parking,, I say we can shuttle people from my church parking lot. Maybe when we ARE in a better position to buy, it will STILL be on the market, who knows?

After church Sunday I went & updated my immunizations. I was due for a tetanus booster, I got a pretty good scratch from a nail & felt it was best to handle that. My arms and neck are killing me. I got Covid, flu & tetanus shots..

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

We have snow today - yuck~ some of our highways are treacherous, but I wasn't out at that time. Got home before it got bad.
re: Bedsores - I agree, they don't happen overnight.
Pat - hope you & Marie can settle on something that suits both of you. That's going to be difficult as you're both used to different houses & lifestyles.
There was a horrible school bus accident to the east of me, about 20 min drive - bus is crumbled up & kids were hurt. I checked with my neighbour, as she's a school bus driver, and I don't see her bus in her driveway.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Kathy has an egg crate mattress topper. Not an air bed. No, they didn't develop over night, it was something we have been keeping an eye on for a few days, it just got bad yesterday.
Kathy is totally unresponsive today. Any meds or water was issued through a syringe the hospice nurses left us. Don't think it will be long now.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Linda, praying for Kathy quick release of pain & suffering, to be welcomed by loved ones that have passed.

Susan, I am covering my eyes, I don't even want to READ the S word. Scary about the school bus.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, dull day and I should be getting out and doing a tad more 8n the gardens but not very ambitious.

Am sure her earthly angels are watching over her until Marie takes her first step with heavenly angels. Do hope with all the meds she is in no pain.

Susan, snow, just knew if anyone got snow it would be you first but then the sun comes out and you have sunshine and great temps. Do not out of kindness send me your snow!

Have you been finding the last few years a change in temps like we are in Ontario? I haven’t listened to the news, sad about the bus accident, hope injuries were minor.

Perhaps Pat maybe you both could wait till spring, Marie can think a bit more on it and the transition of moving in together.

Just spoke to my cousin Rick’s wife Kathy..Rick is nearing his final days as well. Has home treatments and doctors Wednesday and Thursday so I will go to Barrie Friday morning and visit with them. He is at home, didn’t want hospice so as most of us know, hard on the wives.

Hadn’t talked to Larry in awhile, we grew up together, he is Linda’s brother so called and chatted with him, there went the morning.

I should be out doing more work in the gardens but I’d need a tow truck to pull me outside, no energy today, been without bread for 2 days and rather do without than go to town. I’ve therapy in Midland tomorrow morning so making a list and checking it twice in hopes I get all I need.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Linda Kay - I also pray for her quick release from pain & suffering.
Betty - praying for both Kathy & Rick. Yes, it's toughest on the caregivers.

I won't send you my snow - these are my front & back yards

Oh God Susan, it’s far too early for that stuff
Are you able to do all the shovelling?

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

WOW Susan, that was more than a dusting, that is for sure!

I still feel achy and very sore. Some is the hard work outside over the past few days, more due to the vaccinations. I did not get back to my son's to finish up those few things. It's raining and I could not force myself into doing it! First thing tomorrow.... I'll do it all then. I turn keys over to April, Carrie's friend who will be responsible for helping show & select the new renter tonight at 6. I will retain 1 key. I'm in my house with long sleeve hooded thermal shirt AND the hooded sweatshirt and NOT too warm. That's what convinced me to stay home.

The meeting with the architect went well. I feel like we at least created a workable plan if we remodel at Marie's.

You are likely very tired Pat and I are feeling the cold more than usual. I didn’t feel well for a day after getting flu an Covid vaccines same day, hear many were quite ill. John was in bed sick for 1 week.

I would be so worried renting out my place in times like this. Sure hope they get good tenants.

Not sure why i can’t sleep, think sandman is spending his time with Dianne lol

Is that the same architect you had before?

Sharon, are you still working at your daughters?

Deb, how did you make out at the dog show.

I have therapy tomorrow morning then I will run over to Sharon’s and pick up thread and a few meters of fabric she picked up stateside so there will be my morning gone.

Same architect, he drew up the beginning of the plans, including the change of the roof line to accommodate the addition of the new garage. Then he met with us to plug in all the sewing cabinets etc that Marie already has in her current sewing room that we want to reuse in the new room. Who leaves custom cabinets unused, right?

Thank you all for the prayers. Kathy is being kept pain free with all her meds.
Betty, sorry to hear about your cousin. Sending prayers for his family.
I agree, it's very hard on the caregivers.
