Morning Glories 2021 #08

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda and Jackie.
I released 2 giant swallowtail butterflies mid morning today. This season is almost over.

Great pics of your Swallowtails Helena. Makes me sad to realize our outdoor mg growing season is over and butterfly raising season is over too.
While I don't like the bitter cold, i realize that I can't handle the almost 100 degree days either. It zaps all my energy.

Me too Jackie. I really don't spend that much time outside during the summer or when it gets too cold in winter.
Blueberry twist,
Twin milky way
And other repeat blooms
Going to keep checking for blooms until the threat if frost. But I stopped watching the news so hope I don't miss it.

Thanks Jackie.
Glad your vines are still giving you at least for now 3 beautiful blooms. I love the colors of murasaki and your pink, they were good bloomers.
Some of my vines are still young. I don't know why either but my clerodendrum didn't bloom this year. I have it in the ground though so it died back completely and was slow to grow back. I think I need to cover it with leaves to protect it some for winter.
I found a cluster of my wild indica blooming out back. And two monarch butterflies enclosed in my outside enclosure. Actually I found one that escaped to the outside.

Mine was setting near the back wall of my house and didn't get enough sun,

I'm still waiting on a few vines to make at least a few blooms without defects.
I'm pleased with the ones you mentioned Jackie. Dany's vines put on quite a few blooms this morning but I only took pics of ones in first set of collage.

Beautiful blooms Helena.Love the lavender with white border. The pink blooms
and the white hige have been special with very nice blooms.
I have almost all my plants in the green house except for 3 huge plants and 4 or 5 smaller plants. will finish up today. I changed up my shelves in the g house and now I'm making better use of the space..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Beautiful blooms Helena.
Jackie, you have been busy. Don't over do it.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie and Linda.
Glad you got most of your plants in your gh Jackie. Even though last 2 nights have been very cool I have too many tropicals still blooming to put in gh.
A few of these mg pics might be blooms from yesterday that changed color the red one, but the pink that is pink is actually lavender.

Thumbnail by helenahkh
Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

That almost red is so pretty Helena as is the pink that was lavender yesterday.
It's beautiful in both colors. Love the purps too.
Helena, I'm getting so much sun in the g house, more than I ever got before,
that a couple of my Begonia's have scorched leaves. So my plants are getting more sun inside the g house than they did outside. This is because of the new fiberglass panels he lined the g house with, it's clear.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie.
That top red bloom is a blue purple purp that stayed open from yesterday. The large pink is supposed to be lav from Onalee's seed.
I'm glad you are getting more sun in your gh from the clear fiberglass panels. I should do that too to my old frame, I use to just cover it with plastic before I got this one. But its pipes and would not be easy to attach fiberglass.
A bloom from yesterday.
