What happened to gardening.com?

I use that site all the time as another plant reference, and now it's gone! Anybody know why?

Burpee took it over as I remember. I used that site myself for a short time before it folded and then I found DG!!

No, that was garden.com that was sold to burpee. Gardening.com was a different organization.

That's too bad - their online encyclopedia was pretty helpful (had a lot of pronunciations :)

Thanks for the link Dave.

I am sad to see that site go away. For a newbie gardener, I found it very informative as far as learning about the different plants. If I would have known ahead of time that it was going to fold, I would have printed out all the information on the seeds I have to plant in the spring.
