National Emblems for DG...?

When I walked in a beautiful weather outside to hoem from a school I came up with an idea. What if we would vote for "national emblems" to Davesgarden?! I mean like, "National" flower, tree, shrub, animal, etc...? If dave could made somekind of page where we could write what we like and click vote, or something. Just thought it would be a nice idea =)

One thing that would be nice is some smiley faces throughout the garden today. I sure could use some about now. I like the little smiles that Dave has when the chatroom is open. Need more of those throughtout the garden.

Like on good posts? Can we have one sticking out its tongue on bad ones, too? Just trying to have fun, you know. I'm not sure I understand what Evert means. I thought when I read the heading that he wanted each member to have her flag by her name in the forums. Is he suggesting an emblem for DG like states have emblems? I vote for iris, but I wonder if a gardening site shouldn't have a mixed-flowers bouquet. We could have one using flowers of every member's state.

I think the icon you click on to go to home page is the DG flag.
