catalogs

Dave, Maybe this has been suggested, but could we have a forum or a database to enter catalogs in and rate them or leave comment about them somehow. I think it would be cool to have a collective area for them. I keep seeing posts on this subject and there are hundreds of companies out there. We could enter info like address, email, phone, offerings. Then we could all rate and it would average the votes or something?

Hi Gardener_Mick,

It sounds like a good idea to me. I have compiled a list of seed suppliers and posted it at my web site. The list is by no means complete. If you have any links I can add to it, just send me an email.

Thanks,
Sharon

PS I do have a lot of the address and phone number information too.

Hi gardener_mick,

I tried a little experiment. Go to my trade list and look at the category "Address Book" or the status "Addresses". At least I can keep notes to myself what I bought where and when. And others can also view the information too, if they choose to.

Sharon

PS I also put a recipe category in my Journal too. I've only entered one recipe so far.

I really do like the idea of a member-driven ratings-based database of seed/plant catalog companies.

It's not something that I can setup in a couple hours, though, so this will have to be put on my TODO. Thanks for the idea - it'll happen as soon as I get the time!

It keeps growing and growing and growing......Are you using MiracleGro on that TODO list?
