Can anyone help identify this spider?
Popped up the sash and there it was! There loads of false widows around the conservatory but they are much smaller (around 20 cent coin), and have quite distinctive dark and light patterning on the legs.
This thing was much larger, never seen anything of the size of that type(larger than 2 euro coin), prob 3 cm span.
I suspect it's a type false widow, but I really don't like the look or size of it. (I can just about cope with the smaller ones!)
Anyone know what spider this is?
It doesn't look like a 'typical' Steatoda to me, but I cannot rule out Steatoda nobilis without being able to see its eye pattern.
Cheers. I actually have another one on the same windows frame but am not sure what this is either!
