Popped up the sash and there it was! There loads of false widows around the conservatory but they are much smaller (around 20 cent coin), and have quite distinctive dark and light patterning on the legs.

This thing was much larger, never seen anything of the size of that type(larger than 2 euro coin), prob 3 cm span.

I suspect it\'s a type false widow, but I really don\'t like the look or size of it. (I can just about cope with the smaller ones!)
