My husband and my son just left to go up north Louisiana it take 6 hours drive and miss him :*( and hope he both will get deer.
Any of your husband or son deer hunting?? I saw several woman go deer hunting too but me no way hate to see bloody or hear deer screaming no way also heard rabbit oh my sound like children scream so, don't like to see it and love go fishing or crabbing.
Deer Hunting!
My hubby and son deer hunt. But thankfully they didn't get any this year! I feed the ones around our house, and they don't hunt here , they go elsewhere to hunt. They are so cute to watch!
midwestsnowbird.. i agree with you.. we dont hunt in our back fo land.. but we do feed them and enjoy watch them.. We havent see any deers around here lately..
I don't mind the hunting it thins the population. It's just not my thing though. We too have deer in our backyard sometimes. We have one that has a broken leg, poor thing must be in pain.
Garden,
Is there any wildlife societies that would come and help the deer? Maybe it would be best if there isn't to shot it. I think it would be more humane.
One more post. I like the taste of deer but no one I know goes deer hunting. The older I get the more I think about killing the animals for food. I almost can't eat the meat of any animal. I have conflict in my mind because I like chicken, turkey, deer and lamb.
MY HUSBAND WENT HUNTING THIS MORNING. MAKES ME A LITTLE NERVOUS, HE'S NOT AS YOUNG AS HE USE TO BE! LOVE THE VENISON BUT I COULD DO WITHOUT IT SO MY HUSBAND DIDN'T GO OUT!
GH,if ya haven't already, call the Park and Game Dept.,no animal should suffer needlessly, get the deer some help and out of pain'
It's wrong to leave an injured animal suffering' Most everywhere, leaving an injured animal, hunting accident or otherwise,is punishable under the law'
Get help a broken leg won't heal itself'
We will call the game warden and find out what should be done for the dear. I have only seen it once, 3 nights ago. We live in town so putting it down myself is out of the question.
I don't mind them killing the dear. I have no problem with hunting. I do think it is funny though how we say put it out of it's missery. I would not want to be put out of my missery because I could not use one of my legs. However I do agree and if I lived in the country I would have shot it myself.
I did just call animal control and my thoughts were confirmed. It would be kind of hard to find a deer with an injured leg and they can not afford to send people on hunting expeditions. They said to let nature take it's course.
Here in Kansas,we are allowed to adopt orphans and injured deer' Our friends have a few now, they are so docile and always stay within the acreage' Only problem is "hunting season" and trying to keep,"their kids, lol" closer to their home and post many, many signs' Some hunters can't read though, lol' Perhaps some rehabbers in your area could get a program such as ours going too'
