Anyone have recipes for Slow Cooker???

I bought 6 qt. of Slow Cooker and that book of recipes thin book not much any in it. If you would like give out list the recipes, I appreciate this. Thank You~

Recipe for Brisket with vegetables in it?

RR, do you mean like a crock pot? I don't really use too many 'recipes' in mine, but I do make roasts which are stews the second day, chili, etc. Did you try posting or looking on the recipe forum?

BADSEED.... YES IT IS CROCK POT SLOW COOKER. YES I DID LOOK AT RECIPE FORUMS BUT NOT SAY MUCH ABOUT RECIPE TO USE FOR SLOW COOKER.

Let me see if mine came with a recipe book and I can see what is in it. I tend to just throw stuff in there. My sister in law has a favorite where she puts a roast in with salsa and swears it is wonderful over pasta but I have never tried it. I generally put a beef or pork roast in the night before or early in the morning, with garlic and onions, spices, salt and pepper or whatever, then add carrots and potatoes several hours before we want to eat it. I guess I don't use too many recipes because most seem to be for a family of four or a large party. I have a family of six, soon to be seven. I had to bump up and buy the big one, but guess I will need the trough one soon. LOL

I could not find about the meat of Brisket and anyone have recipe for it?

I usually use mine for beef roast, chuck, rump, etc. Then I add a soup like beefy onion mushroom or whatver. At the end of the day, I either add potatoes and carrots or make gravy with the juices and make mashed potatoes or rice. I also use mine for chili too. I think they are wonderful. Put dinner in the morning and spend the day in the garden :-) You might want to check out allrecipes.com and search on slow cooker or crock pot. Have fun........vic

Mine's good for a small pot roast or pork chop .. start in the am, finished by the time I get home.. :) Love that smell when I walk in the door. mmm.. yum..

REDROSE,usually the best way to have brisket is smoked on the grill. I will do some checking for you on that on,ok?
But I would say,do your brisket on the grill first and then put in your slow cooker with a bit of water and let it cook and then add your vegetables like you would do for a roast.

LOL!!! This made me chuckle big time! Welcome to the world of large families! We have 5 too, but ours are getting big already.

I too just kind of dump stuff in the crockpot. One of my favorite things to do is to brown round steak and put it in the crockpot and add a can of cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 can of milk.

I have also browned the steak and added a quart of canned tomatoes some chopped onions, peppers, garlic, salt and pepper. Makes for a quick type of swiss steak.

I always cook my roasts in the crockpot with onion, salt and pepper and a can of beer. The beer acts like a tenderizer almost, and since I work, I can put a frozen roast in the crockpot on low in the morning with all it's ingredients and it's done when we get home that night. Then all I have to do is fix a salad and fry some potatoes or something like that.
