If you have used a credit card on the internet to order something and got the badtrans virus. Be sure to check your charges I just got My Amex bill and had used it to purchase seeds on line and have several charges on there(not to the seeds place) that I did not make. I made the order and later found I had the virus. I do not know for sure that is were the extra charges came from but looks to be.

Oh no! I am so sorry this happened to you. How dreadful icebud. Now you have to go through all that with the credit card company to try to get them removed and will probably have to get a new card with a different number too. I feel so bad for you.

Do you think you had the virus at the time you placed the order? I think once it's gone from your computer, your numbers can't be traced anymore. The virus has something in it that tracks your keystrokes I think. Hopefully someone else knows more for sure. I have been worried about whether the virus can pick up previously entered things from cookies it left or something. Anybody know that?

yes found out I had the virus after I made this purchase, This was the 2nd time ever of using a credit card on line and the last now.

This is just a thought...why not keep one card to use on the net only. This card will have a low limit. That way if they get your number and charge....they dont get away with a lot. My card is maxed....so they wont get anything if they tried to now....LOL.
