Usually people notice these things right away. Hasn't anyone noticed anything different this morning?

Dave, Very, very cool.What will you think of next to make it easier for us to get information.Please tell me that it is the "Network" that is new and I haven't had my head in my coffee cup and didn't notice it before. LOL

I noticed 'watchdog' page has a great new icon of a book with the full title of the database... and the DG Network, with specific lists that may entice a newcomer or a visitor...

Beside the Network, I think the bold red YES under update in homepage.

Yep, the differences are actually fairly dramatic today. Nobody has yet noticed one specific thing, though. The Plants Database and the Garden Watchdog are now on their own web addresses:

gardenwatchdog.com

and

plantsdatabase.com

The color-scheme changes depending on which site you are looking at, and the integration between these sites should be seamless. As Darius pointed out, this makes it more enticing and attractive to visitors.

Additionally, it allows us to continue to grow these databases as individual features, not a sub-feature of Dave's Garden. They are certainly useful enough to warrant a website all of their own.

But, they are still very much a part of DG, so henceforth we will have the DG Network, which will consist of all the important features that we have built. Fun!

Dave, I also notice the nice logo on my home page saying I am a DG Subscriber... and that Member List also shows whether someone is a Subscriber or not. Don't know if that is also a recent change or not, but I like it.

(You must have finished all your Christmas preparations, LOL!)

Yes, the new talking anouncement is pretty hard to miss!

I'm not very "alert" but this post is moving a lot faster and I thank you for that! Last night was the first time in a long time that I was able to chat because of the speed!

I like the new web addresses for the database and the watchdog.It means DG is growing up.It looks like more people will find us with different types of searches and shows that DG is not just another subscription site.

This site is really CRUISING...Dg is going places!!! Some great changes/additions to this place! Love it!

yes, he moved the network box to top. that will take a lot of getting used to, cause I use the home button all the time.

Just a thought...since the plant database has its own web address, would it also make sense to create a "home page" of sorts that might be even more enticing? Add more information about what it is, where it comes from, and how they (the viewer) can be a part of it all.

For those of us who are familiar with it, we know what it is and how to use it, but a newbie or a casual "passerby" might like more information.
