I want to tell someone what I want for Christmas and they have given me this limit. I want to know the best camera
you can get for this price. Any ideas?

We got a nice HP camera for our daughter on sale at Sears for $129. it came with software and usp connection. It only has 8MB memory stick but we picked up a 64MB for her at Staples for about 30 dollars more. Watch the sales ads there are a lot of them on sale now. In this price range you will probably find only digital zooms but they still take some great pics!

walmart has some cameras i got mine from their an rca came with the software and usb connection it was $99. last yr. i think dh saw it for 69. but i bet the one with the zoom might be $99. this yr. it was $130. last yr.

HoniBee, I just got an early Christmas present,the same HP Camera that Zany mentioned! Mine is from WalMart, was 129 on sale from 149. Important thing is that it comes with everything you need, software and connection cables to upload photos into computer- that can all add hidden costs to other cameras. I am just learning how to use it, and it seems great. Photo Forum, beware! (Model is hp Photosmart 215 digital camera). John

My Kids got me the Polaroid PDC640 last year for Christmas it does great outside but doesn't take pictures inside to well guess there is not enough light. But it's served my purpose. I am not sure of the price but I am sure they didn't have all that much money to spend. lol I love it.

Honiebee - I have one just like Zany described - it's an HP 315. A year ago we paid about $300. for it. It's great - no zoom but then it was too expensive, I'd get one with a zoom at the price they are now. I love it, an yes you can get the extra card for it so it will hold up to 80 or more pics if you go on vacation and can't download. It downloads fast. Some download so slow it will run the battery down after only a few I hear.
