Christmas plans?
Come X-mas, I look forward to the school holidays of my children so that we can spend some time together, visiting a few nearby places. Time for a bit of relaxation, while our X-ian citizens are busy celebrating thier greatest festival.
Dinu, How nice to hear from you!! Children here have about 10 days off is it the same in Mysore? Where do you visit?

Then dh mom's family have a big dinner-I just hate this one-I want to stay home with the boys and play with our new toys! When I was little we never went anywhere- my parents famlies were from Ill,OH and california, so we never went anywhere or had anyone over. I will go for dinner =[ but im not staying all night-im a SCROOGE i guess!
We have wrestling meets on the 22 and 29 so I can't go anywhere-My closest sister is almost 3hrs away and the other one is in the corner of AL on Sand Mt. My niece is in Trenton, Ga. so it wont be till later in the year..March or July when we will get together for christmas!

Go to church on Christmas Eve for Candlelight Services and then going to early church services on Christmas morning.
Due to our work, ours is delayed somewhat' Christmas Eve we'll be with our son/wife at our home, then back to work' Then after New Year's our other son/wife travel over(from TN.) for Christmas with all of us. They leave and head north to MN.for Christmas with DIL's really BIG family.
We did get to go over(TN.)last Sat.and took some early craft gifts for their new home, could only stay a couple of hours, darn it' We'd been over earlier(Sept.)and helped put in the new lawn and it's beautiful now, muddy too with all the storms.
I'm now making my crafts for presents and finishing up on the decorations. Taking breaks I'll be baking and making fudge for neighbors and gifts' Still need to get the city building decorated but for now enjoying catching up here at the garden, lol' See ya,Sis'
We have two Christmas. The first will be this weekend with our best friends John & Amy and their son Noah. We have them over for the weekend and have a big Christmas dinner roast beef with all the fixings; John always makes some sinful dessert. Then we exchange gifts and later watch our favorite Christmas movie, A Christmas Story. The next day I get up and cook a big breakfast for everyone and after we go to the bookloft in German Village. We buy a book or two and go next door to the coffee house and have a look at our books. On the way home we will look at the lights. We enjoy this more than Christmas with our family. Not that we don't love Christmas with our family it's just we love these guys and have such a good time. They are our extended family.
On Christmas Eve we go to my Moms and all the family gets together including Kimberley’s Mom and Step dad. We have a buffet style dinner and visit. Kimberley and I then go with her parents to look at lights and go to the 11:00 candle light service. Christmas day is up for grabs. Sometimes we go to my Moms and hang out or to Kimberley’s Moms. No big plans.
Yes MD, the schools close for X-mas for 10 days here too. We've not yet planned where we'll go.
well, this will be our very first Christmas with no kids living here. Jess has been married two years but spent Christmas eve night here both years. This year they have a baby and will spend the morning at their house. Dinner will be here of course. I guess I need to make plans now, so the other family doesn't get dibs on when dinner is and we have to plan around them. We'll open presents at dinner, but don't have any kind of plans for the rest of the day. Christmas Story is my favorite Christmas movie too, but I want to buy 'the Grinch' before then, so that might change. It sure will be hard with no kids here in the morning :(
tiG, you get used to it...and then when they come, it's all crazy again because they bring kids with them.
We're having Stan's family here on the afternoon of the 23rd, after church and then will go to the Christmas program at church that night. Christmas Eve is always at my folks. My mother carved that one out for herself a long time ago. On Christmas, we take a nap after chores and then, after the kids have had their Christmas at home, they come here for a late breakfast of sweet rolls and a light lunch later, then off to in-laws. It will be different this year, as Melissa has definitely settled in Kentucky and doesn't know if they will be able to get up until after New Year's. They will be going to Adam's Mom's for Christmas Eve and then starting some traditions of their own on Christmas Day.
