Morning Glories 2017 #04
Beautiful blooms Helena.
Jackie, and they easy to root, or do they produce seeds?
Mine has never made sds.. I have rooted one cutting and I'll be trying to root another this summer.
Goodness, those blooms loved the rain. They are beautiful.
Absolutely gorgeous blooms this morning Helena.
Pink Porcelain is a beauty. Your 5th bloom ,1st set, looks like
Purp Clarice ?, either Parks or Burpee's name for it if memory
serves me correctly. A beautiful lite'
blue purpurea
Thanks Linda and Jackie.
Jackie, don't know about the names cuz this year a sowed seeds I bought from a couple of ebay venders. I'll have to check parks or Burpee's to what theirs look like. I like the name though.
Very pretty colors this morning.
Love your blooms this morning Helena. beautiful purple Fuji and
lovely purp. Is that a Purple Silk??
Helena, that was yrs go I bought the Clarice ? sds from Burpees or most
likely Parks seeds. Probably no longer sell that one.
Thanks Linda and Jackie.
Jackie, I think that is a dark pink silk. I liked it a lot, just have to wait till weather warms up and it blooms again to see if it has same color blooms.
It's been very cool in the mornings here. My neatest blooms this morning are these 2 blooms and I'm sure they are going to be solid purples in an hour or two when I check them again.
Helena, I have to agree with you, those first two and beautiful. Love the water color look.
Helena, love the Fuji's and that big white bloom is very pretty..
The 1st two blooms are gorgeous.
Thanks Linda and Jackie, the second bloom was very small. The 3rd is a washed out Pink Porcelain Jackie. The Fuji's are nice.
Helena, I wondered if what i thought was a white bloom was Blushing Bride or something similar. So a very pretty Pink Porcelain.
I am home today with a sick tummy, and Joe is waiting for the tree guys to show up ( I can hear them on another block) bet they do't make it before the rain ( again).
My old fashioned pear tree did not set fruit this year, and it looks like it needs trimming bad, as well as the elm tree limbs hanging over it blocking it fro the sun. Good news is -Joe's bean patch is going great. No mgs up, here, I think He dug up all pieces of Pandy and threw them away. No pandy peeking, no mgs, I am heart broken, oh well.
Keep the blues coming for me, I'm certainly enjoying the show. I can't believe I don't have any mgs or places to grow them now. *sigh*
Debra, Hope you get to feeling better.
Joe didn't like the pandy??
Hope you are feeling better too Debra.
Jackie, I have a few Pink Porcelain vines and other pink silk and pink crosses this year to have fresh seeds when the old ones don't germinate. Just wish the blooms improve, too many with defects & don't want to open.
Just two nice blooms today, 3 plant buys from Walmart
I hope you are feeling better soon Debra.
Helena, those flowers are so pretty.
Love your Morning Glory blooms this morning Helena. Great find on the
pretty Cleome, Fuchsia and mixed Salvia's.
I think Joe just didn't know what he was throwing away as he dug the bean patch up Jackie, and I think he might be right, it prolly is under the new patio and has not sent the leaders out to the sun yet like they did last year. It got down to 38 last night then high was only 48 today BRRRR still wearing winter clothes here and tropicals are out, including the banana. They took us all out for ADMINS day, took all us girls to Olive Garden, I just ate some soup, it was fun, tho. Great blooms, Helena, and love your wally world buys. I am ready to go buy some plants, as soon as it warms up. Joe saw a hummer! Got the feeders out now. Poor things are cold right now. Going in early tomorrow, go to dr for follow up at 3:45 pm.
Hopefully your pandy will come out when it warms up.
Prayers for a good report tomorrow.
Debra, Hopefully your pandy will find the path to sunlight and make some pretty blooms for you. We have a cold night tonite, but will warm up tomorrow.
Let us know what your Dr says.
Debra, those are beautiful.
Helena, those are beautiful colors, I love the colors in the last one.
Pretty Poppy bloom Tony.
Lovely blooms from the past Debra.
Helena, gorgeous blooms. i love the Purp, Pink silk and the
last bloom. very unusual and special.
Thanks Linda and Jackie. That Purp is already setting seeds. The last one turns solid purple which I like too.
Oh my, those are awesome. Love the #4 bloom with the white stripes.
Helena, gorgeous blooms. # 1 looks like a Saz, very pretty. Do you have names for
# 1 and # 3? # 3 resembles Fuji no Sora somewhat. Its a lovely bloom.
Thanks ladies.
Jackie # 1 is Ocean Mist from ebay, # 3 is a Youjiro. I'll have to go look at label again. Confusing on what they are, and names.
Both are very pretty Helena. Thank you for the names.
You welcome Jackie. That last bloom is from Ronnie's seed mix. I have 2 vines with similar blooms.
Loved the large pink bloom this morning. The rest are so so blooms with slight defects. # 3 bloom is from Dany's seed, #4 is Pink Frost from 2010 seed. I sprayed my vines the other day and got some of the bugs, do have spray the rest. Maybe then defects will stop.
oh Helena, I am drooling.. LOL good luck on the bugs, I should send you some of my secret formula. Sure love those brilliant colors and the way the colors fade like water colors on some of them is amazing. Nature is such a wonderful artist, always breath taking. It is raining here today. I slept late. Dr put me on another med and I have to go back in two weeks. *sigh* there is no guarantee in the health industry. They tried 4 times to get blood from me and now my arms are both sore ad bruised again. He asked me when I wanted to go to an oncologist and I said never.I did ask why the new med, he said to help me with my " ANGST" ??? bleah so I chopped up my beautiful 7 year old monster of snowqueen hibiscus, she weighed over 200 lbs and my son could't even get her up the stairs, somehow she was covered in white flys and black bugs down there, so I had him pull her out, chop all her branches off her root ball and put them all in a huge tub of tea tree oil, soap and water. to soak for two days, now they are all clean from leaves and bugs, original root bottom is planted in a pot outside, and branches cut off are in the rootting aquarium. here is hoping. TV says western Kansas is getting a foot of snow, ut ohh smh this is snow queen 3 years ago. she never came back up after that year she went downstairs.
Gorgeous blooms this morning Helena. Love all of those. .Dany's bloom is very pretty'as is the Pink Frost, one of my favorites.
Glad your Dr is staying on top of your heart condition Debra
Your snow queen Hibiscus was a beauty. Since you;re rootball is intact,
I;m sure it will send up new shoots in no time.
Snow??? I don;t know what to make of this crazy weather.
Hard to believe you are still getting snow.
I love that snow queen, send me a rooted piece please? If it will survive in the Texas heat.
