The perfect football weekend

The Ohio State Buckeyes beat the team up North(Michigan). The Redskins beat Philly to win there fith game in a row and take over second place in there division. And the Giants are losing nicely to the raiders. Does not get much better than this. Except for the fact that gardenwife is learning the rules to the game so she can watch with me. I can die a happy man:-)

oh, poor gw!! I don't remember how or when I learned football, but it has the craziest rules, and beware, the final 2 minutes will always take almost 30!!!
I understand it, but I still don't often watch. Unless GA is kicking GA Tech's behind, which they did yesterday:)

Now GardenHubby I am real glad for you! Even though I am in NJ I don't root for the Giants, to me they are still a NY team!!!! Now about those Eagles????? I grew up right outside of Philly so I have always rooted for the Philadelphia teams! The First football game I ever went to was the Eagles and Raiders when the vet first opened! (LONG TIME AGO) I was a raiders fan then and I still root for them!!!! (Kinda rainy though it's going to take those guys a week to dry out.) DH is a Steelers fan so he had a good day too!
Now I guess it has been a good sports day, if the FLYERS win tonight it will make the perfect day for me. (I much prefer hockey over all sports)

Come on tiG don't get her second guesing already. Ruby42, Raiders are ok not my favorite. I love watching Howie Long on fox though. I always like him. I hate any team in the same division as the Redskins. Nothing personal just can't be for two in the same division.

ok tar and feather me here and now there is no perfect football weekend. lol Other sports I like just fine but football no way.(now of course if I had somebody there to tell me play by play what was going on I might...nah doubt it) lol Sorry Jim! But so glad you enjoyed your weekend.

Now I know during football most of us men seem to be of like mind. But not names. Mystic it was me Howie who started the thread not Jim. :-) I know we all seem alike. LOL.

Now I don't like many other sports and hardly ever watch any of them. So during football season Kimberley has too suffer a little bit. Now that's not to bad, only 4 months out of the year and the Super Bowl in Jan. She gets the other 8 months.

Yes Mystic she does not mind too much. She usally sits next too me and surfs the web while I watch the game. And now she has Saturday back. The college season is over. All though I never really let football get in the way of doing something else. If I'm home I watch and enjoy it. Sometimes I will get together with friends for certain games. But for the most part I am pretty flexible. I'm a big fan but not the diehard fan like some.

I luv football its the refs that stink!!!
But the detroit redwing hockey team is much more fun to watch then the detroit lions!!!
With 5 sons-you learn to like football-especially if they play.
WRESTLING season is on here in my house-our first match is this weekend, and i cant wait to sit on the bleacherz from 8am to 8pm screaming and yelling. I luv it!
