Back to the land of no shoes, short pants,

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

and 15 ft. nanna trees. We made it back home last night about 8:15. The drive from TN was horrible. Lots of bad storms, I hope everyone is okay that was in the line of those bad cells, Alabama was really getting hit hard.
I would like to again thank Dave and Trish for opening up their home to us, they were both so gracious to my family! It was a pleasure to be there to spend Thanksgiving with them.It was also a pleasure to cook in such a well stocked kitchen, as Trish is a great cook and has everything in her kitchen a seasoned cook needs. ((((THANKS)))
I was glad that Calalilly drove to see us too. They live about an hour away, turned out they didn't have any plans for Thanksgiving dinner so they joined in on our feast at a last minute invite. It was truly a holiday to remember and we made wonderful memories indeed.
We were truly blessed!

Glad to see you got home all right. The storms were pretty bad here,we lost some siding off of one end of our house, the wind got up so bad.

We're not barefoot here, but I can't complain about the temps.

Sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thank God you are home safe! So happy that you were able to share Thanksgiving with fellow DG'ers. I'm sure it will be a Thanksgiving to remember. Take care......

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

Ohh, you all don't wear shorts either. Don't you get chafed. Glad you made it home.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

Lisa, you are way too young to remember, there was a song with the line, "Your toes are spread apart, my dear, from walking in the mud". The "splat" reminded me of it. So happy you are safely home, and that you enjoyed that wonderful visit. You can sing the one about Santa in a pirogue, I think by one of the Kershaws, probably Doug.

Surry, VA(Zone 7b)

Lisa I'm so glad you are all home safe and sound. Some of those storms were deadly. We were watching the weather on TV and even DH remarked that he hoped you wouldn't run into difficulties :-)
