Morning Glories 2016 #18
Gorgeous blooms from 2015 Helena.
Beautiful blooms Jackie.
Happy New year everyone.
I pray next year we will all have beautiful, perfect blooms.
me too! I can't wait to start looking for all my stuff. As soon as Joe gets the tree down, I am setting my stuff back up!
Thinking about the deal they offer at walmart.. like ten bucks a month plans LOL
Beautiful blooms I especially love that spotted one. I am ready for Spring already. It is supposed to be getting really cold again in a couple days, I feel it coming already.
Joe got me a zoom lens for Christmas.
Nice zoom lens Debra!
Thanks ladies.
I took my tree down 2 days ago. Was enjoying looking through my seeds and sort of planning on which ones to grow this year. Looking to see if I still have any left of another wish list. But I still am not done sorting what I grew in 2016.
Can;t believe that great close up shot Debra.
Helena, I'm thru stuffing seed envelopes now, took me forever.
I haven;t started planning what to grow yet but hope to soon
Linda, I hope we all grow some beauties this yr too,.
Helena, your baby seedlings look great, very healthy. Be needing a bigger
pot soon,.
Love the new babies sprouting!
Thanks Jackie and Linda. Yes some do need transplanting and more like taking off to a good start fingers crossed!
WOWZERS, YOUR VINES ARE LOOKING REALLY GOOD ,HELENA. SORRY, CAPS LOCKS. UGH. Jackie, any seeds and any mg bloom will be appreciated by us all, I think.
So cold here! I will keep working , but will not be driving any company cars. I will be back to full time on Friday. I went in today to have a "meeting". I am supposed to train someone to take my place when I am ready to retire, which I told them was when I turn 66. I am hoping to drop down to part time at 65 ( in April)
Meanwhile, I have been playing in the basement, and have found two mgs blooming, the pink purp and the blue purps. the yellow passi is also blooming now. Joe said he wishes we could have Tuesdays like yesterday everyday. We went to the movies, out to eat and both was under 10.00 total for the day! LOL
Got Rose all moved in to her new place in Riverside Area again, such a cute area it is. Old, but cute. Oona is even happy. ( my grand cat) Meanwhile, I have been having fun playing with these two cuties next door. We are going to make doggie treats this weekend. Hadley goes back up to New York to get her cancer SCANS in February. She scanned cancer free last time up. ( 6 months ago) Hadley is on the right, Kaylynn, is her older sister on the left.
Glad you;re going back to work Debra.
You will love working part time. I really enjoyed that after I left my full time demanding job yrs ago. .
Debra, were they remodeling Rose's apt? I know you told us but I can;t remember.
Hoping little Hadley gets another good diagnosis.
Glad to hear good news of you going back to work Debra. Part time work sounds good too.
Cute little friends you have! Echoing for Hadley to get another good diagnosis too.

My first bloom from Plum Surprise back in 2008. Unfortunately I never got the same stunning bloom from those seeds.

My most memorable bloom late autumn in 2007.
Oh my gosh Helena. No wonder you were so excited about that bloom, it's a beauty.
At least it made sds for you, mine wouldn't even do that. My bloom was not as gorgeous as your bloom but I loved it.
Whoa, those are beautiful blooms.
Oops, Helena I didn;t see your 2nd bloom pic. Thats pretty too. Do you'remember the name of the 2nd one??
Jackie, no ID on that second bloom. I recall that I got the seeds on a trade that I asked for the chocolate mg. It probably was a cross and I grew it late falI so I didn't get any seeds either from it. think I have more pictures on "photobucket" but I stopped using it for a couple of years now.
I love that 2nd one too Helena. Both of your blooms made lovely star patterns,
my favorite style. :-)
wow those are two special blooms! I made a quiche for breakfast, going to go get Rose and bring her here for laundry and then help her with unpacking. She has just moved out of her B/F's house and is still depressed, but she has to be not living with him or I am fearful someone will get hurt one way or another. anyway, I was gardening last night after the movies and saw some buds on the sticto by the window. Will use my new zoom lens tonight. Stay warm, for crying out loud!
Debra, definitely not the right one for Rose. Glad she's getting away from him.
Can't wait to see your sticto blooms.
Sick of the cold here Debra. Be 60 here by Tues, smh
Glad to hear you got her out of there and in a safe place.
Thanks, Got her all settled in and she even has a nice table with three potted cacti on, and Oona, her lil cat, let me clean her ears out without a fight, and there are a few things that are needing done by the landlord, but like I told Rose- it's only a 6 months lease.
She has a little area I can Garden and pretty up out from her front door. Going to plant special seeds from you guys there. Needs cleaning, clipping, and clearing and then I will have an empty palette. Any suggestions on seeds u want me to plant? I am going to set up a potted Pandy for sure. Have not made it down in basement to take pics yet. I have a bad outbreak of spider mites from me not gardening very much I'm sure. Made up 4 sprayers of a combo, forbid, 99% pyrethins ( adams flea dip soap) , three drops of pure menthol oil, epsom salts. I have to move the big affected plants away from the fish tank and the turtles in order to do this in a safe way. I'll enlist Charlie, Rose and Joe on Sunday to help me. Last Sunday after I got back with Rose, I made pastry puff apple cinoman pecan wheels, ad cheese, spinach pastry wheels. The quiche was half gone by the time I came back home. Kids love my cooking, which is not very often now. I wait for them to be present before I cook.
Helena, How are your vines> LK,-have you healed from all your surgery's? I sure enjoy seeing you all here. These blooms are all from previous years. Pink for Jackie.
I'll read off some "sent" seeds for you all to choose from , for me to plant at Rose's place.. It's warm here today and tomorrow, and supposedly we are getting some snow -sleet- ice- rain LOL
No Mai's ( have seeds)
Pretty pink blooms from the past Debra. I love # 3 and 4 especially.
I;m sure Rose will love whatever vines you choose for her.
Extra warm here today and for the next few days. No complaints here.
Glad to hear she has a garden spot you can help her plant. I agree with Jackie, she will enjoy what ever you lant for her.
My hip surgery has been almost a year, and it is doing very well. Thanks for asking.
Yesterday and today is 80 degrees, but we have cooler weather and rain coming in for the week end.
Linda Glad you've recuperated well after your surgeries
Crazy weather here for sure, almost 80 today and tomorrow
then a chance of snow up north of us for Friday, Love the warmer temps
for however long they last. :-).
