Morning Glories 2016 # 12

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda.
That's angel wing Begonia Maurice Amey sitting on the back porch step to avoid some of the rain. He tends to get mildew if he gets too much rain on the lvs.

Gautier, MS

Beautiful blooms Jackie. I'm happy you are getting blooms. Even if the bugs makes us a bit frustrated, it's better than not getting any at all. I'm hoping that once the weather starts to cool off the bugs will leaves or will be able to better control them. I'm still soaking and trying more seeds to keep growing into the fall and into the greenhouse in winter. At least I'll try to do that if I can.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

oh Jackie that is a gorgeous array of blooms. Huge task having to rename stuff, just knowing you have pics to "browse" thru tho, that is how I get myself sleepy sometimes, browsing and re-naming. I have that red and white blooming now, it must be from you as well as that blue one. very pretty.
Linda hope you are feeling better today. It is POURING here right now and even tho we might get water in the basement, I am glad it is raining this much.
Helena, that is a gorgeous purple!
I planted blue pea but have not seen anything yet.. Last year on this day these were blooming..

Thanks Helena and Debra. You're right Helena. At least we have blooms to enjoy. Some of my mg's are so buggy
though, I;m going to lose them.
I hope you get to start some for this fall and winter.
Debra, I doubt I will go back and rename every bloom, just too time consuming and time is what I don't have. Beautiful blooms from last summer,.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Debra, those are beautiful.

Still raining here. 3 inches last night.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Debra, I missed your repeat blooms from this yr. They're gorgeous . Glad
you were there to get your pics b4 they closed.
More rain here too Linda. Carried about 15 plants back to the g house and
need to carry more.
My Keiryu opened today

Beautiful blooms Debra and Jackie, "all to die for". I'm enjoying the show. I didn't take any pics today but did get more seedlings into their cups. Then got some older seedlings into bigger cups. So out of shape that I'm worn out.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jackie that sure are pretty.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda and Helena.
I'm out of shape too.
Glad you got caught up on potting up your mg seedlings.
This bloom yesterday, another blue with purple on the borders. wish I knew'its id.

I have that purple, too, Jackie. It had to come from one of you two. After a 6 inch rain last night, ( no water in the basement!) it flooded in the town south of me tho and killed some people. Cars, businesses and homes everywhere down there had water in them. I spent the day pulling out weeds, dayflower, primrose and various other over grown plants along the north fence. Joe mowed and trimmed out front. I am really feeling like this is a short year for outside, it is kinda cool right now, we went to see a movie and I am kind of wound up. Guess I'll go look at mg pics not tagged yet here. The movie was the new Tarzan. I sure miss the old Tarzan, good ole Johnny. anyway., more pics from this day a year ago..

I've never seen this much rain Debra.
Beautiful flowers from a yr ago. Your purple is a beautiful Aogakiyama
Debra, if the cool weather returns anytime soon, I;ll be in serious trouble
My g house is in shambles with all the plastic, inside and out, needing to be replaced.
I would love to find a new place with an inside sunroom.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Beautiful flowers ladies.
Glad to hear you got some rain, but not the damage that comes with it.

Gautier, MS

Beautiful bloom Jackie. It's possible that you got a cross from that blue with Aogakiyama? There is always that chance of a cross.

Beautiful blooms from last year Debra. Gorgeous Aogakiyama too!

Look Jackie at Choco Silk from your seed, huge bloom. I want to tag it even hand pollinate it for seed. Thanks for sharing your seeds. Second pic with sun on it!
Another blue bloom from Karen's2005 seed, similar color to Sky Blue, original bloom had a dark star, what I fell in love with. I was hoping it would have that star!
The thing with mgs it's there are no guarantees for them to do the same as before.
Fourth bloom is purple with neat marking, 5th is purple fuchsia.

what a beautiful display of blooms this am, Helena. I really adore that 3rd and 4th ones the best. love the purple shadow star inside the blue on number 4.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks ladies.
Helena, I agree there's a good chance that I have a cross with the purple color on the tips of the blue bloom.
Thats the giant chocolate bloom from the huge one I grew last yr, Choc Silk
already had a tendency to be huge. Love all your blooms this morning Helena,
especially # 4 with the star pattern. Very pretty # 5 too.,
LYK is making some pretty blooms with specks

Thanks Linda and Helena, Looks like my mg's in pots are winding down a little. Blue Silk opened so many blooms at a time, he's almost bloomed out for sure.
Rosita out back and Split Second , both in a big tub, haven't opened a single bloom.
OMG Debra, love all of your blooms but that 1st one is spectacular with all those specks.
Disappointed in the meager blooms I got this season. smh

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

and these, too

WOW! Look at all the beauties today. Love all the colors you are getting.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Gorgeous blooms this morning Helena. I love them all'. That # 4 is special. Pretty hige and purp. Nice to see
a Pink TDye and its a beauty.
Something was after my blooms out back. Pollen all over the blooms and each of my blues had tiny tears in it like it was something larger than a hummer. You can';t see the tiny pinpoint holes in this pic,.
You can see the larger hole in this pic # 2
This must be Rosita but its a larger bloom than Rosita usually makes.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

HELENA, SEEING YOUR NUMBER 4 TODAY MADE MY WORK MORNING GREAT AND JACKIE THAT MORNING BREEZE TOOK MY AFTERNOON "WORK BLAHS" RIGHT OUT THE DOOR. LOOKS LIKE A BIG OLE BUMBLE BEE HAD IT'S WAY WITH YOUR BLUES, AND YOU'LL PROLLY GET SOME SEEDS NOW. SORRY BOUT THE CAPS LOCK, I AM AT WORK:p:p:p:p
PS: WHERE ARE THESE DEFECTS YOU MENTION? ;d

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena and Debra.
Debra, I bet you;re right and it was probably a bumble bee that tore up
my blooms.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jackie, those are beautiful blooms today.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Linda. Here are my newest blooms. A new one
opened in hot pink. I think its the lovely pink that comes out'of Debras seeds.
If it is, the pattern will change from a solid to a patterned bloom
Debs pink? tub out back
Don't recognize this one, anyone know?? Pretty even if its torn
Carnival of Venice
A lovely Lite blue TDye
Helena, do you think this last one is Starry Nite? If not, can you share a pic?
That's the same one that has purple on the tips.

Helena, those are beautiful!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Gorgeous blooms Helena. Thanks for sharing pics of Starry Night. Look at your middle pic of SN with purple and blue. I do have a SN planted but nothing yet unless its my bloom that's blue with purple tips.
Love your pretty pink speckled. Hoping mine makes a few sds.

Thanks Linda and Jackie.

Love your beautiful blooms Jackie. It's possible that your blue with purple could be SN. I didn't remember mine doing that. But it's could have crossed or maybe the specks will still appear. Hard to tell but it's a neat bloom with those colors.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena, I will watch to see what this one does, any changes. It'might'
definitely be a cross.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jackie, those are beautiful morning glories.
